He can be pleasant, but he can also be extremely rude and sarcastic. I have seen both sides. I will not go back.

Tale of 2 surgeons and people
I read about a doctor who made a mistake with the wrong implant lens for cataract surgery. He accepted the error, understood why it happened and immediately personally pursued a solution for his patient. Humans are not infallible and it takes courage, integrity in your profession, humility and compassion to recognize this and fix your error. Although the patient in this case had their eye fixed by another surgeon, the surgeon continued to follow up and paid for the patient’s corrective surgery. Empathy, compassion and resolve are admirable traits with the power to overcome our short comings. I had cataract surgery with dr Gaddipati. He too made a mistake in the lens implanted. His response: never spoke or apologized to me. His associate doctor stated as a solution, I could either implant a lens in the left eye to balance the lack of sight or wear glasses. Which of the above surgeons would you want operating on your eye? Ask questions before surgery and dismiss those who never failed.

Not a good choice for cataract surgery
Stated in prep op consult that he could give me the night vision and distance for my job.post surgery, my sight clarity was only 3 ft. Never spoke to me to discuss the failure after. Associate dr stated operating on other eye might help. Wow! Certainly took care of my job and night vision issue since I can no longer work that job. Wish I knew this outcome was possible prior to losing my right eye sight.

The best eye (but also in general) doctor I've ever had. Not only for his medical precision and attentiveness, but his off the chart human skills. Dr. Gaddipati has been treating me since I was 14 (maybe younger) and always remembers the small details in my life even after years of not seeing each other. He explains conditions in laymen's terms, gives you practical tools and tips to deal with any questions you might have. He is committed to medicine and health, but also to people and his community. A truly admirable human and doctor as well.

Impossible to reach his office. Call, you get a recording saying to call back during business hours - even if it is during business hours. Dial 0 for assistance, get an answering service which stated they unable to put your call through to the office - also during business hours. Tried in vain to reach them for 3 days while traveling, while leading up to my surgery date. Made the entire pre op experience extremely stressful. Hopefully his surgical skills are better than his office management.

I have recommended Dr. Gaddipati numerous times as he someone who really connects with his patients on both a personal and professional level. He cares about the whole patient well being. There is macular degeneration in my family and he always spends time looking carefully to find any sign of it in my eyes. He has genuine care and concern and carefully responds to all my questions.
