Wonderful! My husband wishes he had got the operation sooner! He had a total anterior hip replacement and procedure could not have been smoother or turned out better! It's been 3 mo's, he's walking well and no pain!Recovery was quick after the first few weeks and the whole team from the day of surgery on were fantastic! We highly recommend Dr. Alpaugh!

INEXPERIENCED, UNEMPHATIC
I am a postmenopausal woman diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis or AVN (the heads of my femurs are dead). I have weakness and severe pain on my left leg. This is even after having 2 back surgeries with other Surgeons. However, Dr. Alpaugh always disregarded my pain and immediately blamed it on the back. My last Neurosurgeon, renown Dr. John Shin, wrote to him saying that my back was free. He dismissed him with high arrogance, despite his youth and inexperience. A recent EMG was totally normal and confirmed what Dr. Shin said. Dr. Alpaugh also ignored that my symptoms match the description of AVN by the National Library of Medicine and the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIH) among other prominent medical studies. On my last visit, he told me that I was 'bullying him' into having surgery. I felt so disrespected! Considering that Alpaugh treats patients in pain, he lacks empathy and is pleasantly installed at the top of the Olympus, undeservingly so.
