Painful and disrespectful
Please do not see this doctor. I have listed out only a few excerpts:Medical History:1. She cited'your menstrual cramps can't actually be that bad if you won't take hormonal birth control' without asking if I had family planning intentions. 2. She asked me how I even knew I had PCOS (I know from a doctor telling me) and then proceeded to tell me that I clearly didn't have it because I'm not overweight and don't have acne or facial hair... I was wearing a mask...Physical exam:1. I've never felt physical pain from a pelvic exam, and the level of pain endured was excruciating. While I cried on the exam table, Dr. Boter said, 'well that could just be cramps, you said you're a crampy girl and you're the one who decided to come to the doctor with your period, that wasn't my idea.'2. She continued to do a pelvic exam and told me that I needed to think hard about what I was telling her was painful.3. I was shamed for coming with my period and told none of my results would be accurate

I am delighted to have found a wonderful doctor such as Dr. Boter. As a nurse I am quite finicky with who I choose. She spent as much time as I needed and the exam was gentle. She educated me about every topic that was pertinent to my visit and my family history . She helped clarify my misconceptions in a humble and professional manner. She listened to my heart and lungs (which is a first for a gyn). I was extremely impressed that she was even able to hear my murmor (which has so often been over

Dr. Lana Boter is a great doctor with possibly the worst staff I have ever encountered. From the moment they pick up the phone the contempt they have for her patients is so clear. I have encountered issues with appointment times, wait times, office cleanliness, and misinformation. Despite this the doctor herself is quite amazing. I would give her 5 stars but the mismanagement of her office is so bad I can only give her 2.

My last visit Dr.Boter was deliberately unpleasant with me. I even wanted to ask her why she is mad with me....I was so glad to be out of her office this time. Because of this emotionally traumatic experience I will not recommend Dr.Boter to other patients. She should not work with people!

0 stars. She should not be practicing medicine. Long story short : she failed to find a large fibroid, tested me for HPV and then didnt tell me I had tested positive for it .. DISMISSED THE SYMPTOMS OF CERVICAL CANCER and prescribed a medication without giving a blood test to see base line levels of hormones- making any treatment by an endocrinologist impossible, and I left feeling judged, not listened to, disrespected and dismissed. I currently have cervical cancer FYI.
