Humble and excellent
When my mother suffered two TIA,s, Dr. Bansal was the second neurologist called in. After her neurological exam concluded, she said she did not think it was a neurological problem. I had been watching Mom’s heart rate on her monitor, and noted that it was erratic. This doctor took the time to listen to me, a layperson, and to comfort me when the admitting physician refused to call in a cardiologist.( Mom was later diagnosed with paroxysmal afib) . She even visited Mom later and did not bill for her visit. Great, humble, and caring doctor.

She was probably the most dedicated and sincere student that I ever had, the four years that we met once a week on the tennis court for an hour were beneficial to me too.

Called me to cancel an appointment on 4/6 due to COVID. Proceeded to then send me a letter saying she is closing her practice on 4/20. On 4/19, she sent a bill for the 4/6 phone call, claiming it was an appointment, instead of her calling to cancel my appointment. Because her practice was now closed, I couldn't dispute it as the address was a PO Box in Maine and her phone number is disconnected. BEWARE. Extremely sketchy and unprofessional!

Fantastic Neurologist. Highly recommend. After years of being hospitalized for seizures and stroke by other doctors she realized it was not a seizure but atypical migraine. With her help, I got off the seizure medicines and am being treated appropriately. No more seizures for over a year. Fantastic Dr.

I read the other reviews for Dr. Toshniwal and I don't think they saw the same doctor! Saw other Neuros for my MS - Dr. Toshniwal LISTENS, the others did not. She ANSWERED all of my questions, patiently. I never felt one bit rushed. She evaluated me thoroughly, including looking at my MRI and LP test results - which the others did NOT. She explained things on the MRI and LP that no one else explained to me. She talked to me AT LENGTH about the treatment options - including the newest ones, asking for my input. We decided on a treatment plan TOGETHER. She is also the only one who talked about managing the symptoms of the disease - offering medications (but not insisting on it) to make living with this disease more tolerable. She is VERY perceptive. She noticed my one eye was a bit 'off'. I had not mentioned it but thought I saw that in the mirror the day before. Happy I found a doctor that is educated/observant/patient/competent. And glad I don't pay too much attention to bad reviews.

ONE STAR is too kind. BEWARE! Saw neurologist Dr. Lata T. Bansal - now Toshniwal. Was told immediately, prior to any blood tests taken, that I did not have Parkinson's - told to get off Parkinson's medicine prescribed by ORMC and then told after just performing a walking test for her - while not in relapse, that I did not have MS - 100%. All of this after providing her first with lumbar puncture results showing 90% certainty of MS. Fraud, concelament misrepresentation. Not knowing standard protocol testing that she should have been doing for 2 years, as well as having MS, she only sent me for a muscle conductivity test. Finally discovered what type of blood testing should have been done to rule out or in MS and to make sure it was not another demylenating disease, virus, Sjogrens, Lupus, Lymes, etc. had to advocate on my own behalf for blood tests. Finally she did one screen for Lymes, told me I had Lymes - i did not. Had MS all along. Unprofessional, unethical, take her license!

What kind of dr office would tell a dementia patient in a wheel chair who cant talk, and her aide that they have to wait for their transportation outside in July in the heat. It didn’t matter that the wait for transportation would be almost 2 hrs. How pathetic! Thank goodness for another office in the complex that saw us outside for an hour and asked us to come into their waiting room for air conditioning!

Dr.Bansal is rude she doesn't understand what you trying to explain to her. You tell her things what your feeling she tells you maybe its different thing knowing I know what I'm feeling. She doesn't send you too do any testing for what your feeling at all. Also she doesn't exam you or anything . Your in her clinic room less then 5 mins or less all she does is ask how you how your feeling give u the meds that she thinks you need.!! That why I give her a poor score.

my husband had Parkinsons Disease. He had some serious reactions ( family physician linked to a drug & a supplement this MD prescribed. 24 hours after stopping that combination, he was back to normal. However, I called her & got an answering service that said THEY would decide whether to pass my message along to her. I had to call the EMTs twice before our MD figured out it was her prescription causing he to be unable to do normal things he always did. BTW, she never called back.

Horrible bedside manner. She was given an explanation and we addressed concerns as to why she was seeing my family member and all we got was a "she looks fine to me; come back for a one month follow up" What an idiot!
