Horrible Dr
I have been seeing Dr. Adams for a couple of years. You always want to make sure you cross your t’s and dot your i’s around this woman. She is always difficult and takes things personally. In this case, the other doctor I was seeing got fired, and the office stopped writing psychiatric medications. I reached out to Dr. Adams to see if she would cover my medicines if I couldn’t get them and until I could find a psychiatrist. She and her nurse proceeded to call my other doctor’s office and tried to make me out to be a liar over what I said on the voicemail instead of asking me to explain it better. I told the nurse after she told me that they would not help me that maybe I should find another doctor (because I was upset.) I told her I was in the middle of a mental breakdown and I really needed help, and the nurse just told me “I don’t know what else to say. “A few days later I received a letter from Dr. Adams saying that they had excused me as a patient. She is not a good person.

Dr Adams is the most compassionate doctor I’ve ever met. She cares!!!! She listens fully and takes your thoughts and feelings into consideration when forming a treatment plan for you. She goes the extra mile to help her patients! I’ve been seeing her awhile and there’s not a thing I can say bad about her or her wonderful nurse Whitney. I know if I have an issue I can always call Whitney and she takes care of it!

I needed to get a new doctor because my regular doctor retired. So I went to doctor Laura Adams. I have never had an experience like this with a doctor. I found her to be inflexible, lacking in compassion, with poor communication skills, and evasive when I asked her how long she had been practicing. She said "a while." I checked her credentials and I found she has been practicing 2 years. She would not accept me as a pàtient, and would not explain why. She made me feel so bad, I broke down in tears.

I have had three doctors in my life prior to Dr. Adams, pediatrician for 14 years, my family doctor for 26 years and my OBGYN for 23 years. My family doctor retired and I went to Dr. Adams. She is rude, impatient, and does not listen. I personally think she should not hold a license. She is not compassionate at all and does not make decisions in the best interest of the patient. I am struggling to give her one star, she deserves a 0. I have found a new physician, Dr. Cox who is wonderful!!

I’ve been a patient for over a decade, as well as other members of my family. When I went to her for help with my fathers dementia recently, as she was his primary care doctor, she lost it, throwing her hands in the air yelling about how she didn’t have anything to do with him or his diagnosis or Medicare paperwork, etc. where as everything I’d read stated otherwise- that it was Her prime directive to help with this part. Hence why I simply inquired. She only offered some “help” when I stated I was working with an elder law attorney and would have to go back to him after getting no where with her. Also her staff is always changing, the latest nurse, a man who’s incredibly rude, doesn’t call back Ever and I’m done wasting my time being talked down to for paying with cash at times when I lived out of state or was in between insurances as we moved a lot. I fell and have a concussion and can’t even get my primary care doctor to call me back to schedule a CT. New doctor time!

I have been a patient of Dr. Adams for several years. Her office staff experiences high turnover, and has often been rude and hostile to deal with. I was once kept waiting to see the doctor (in the reception area) for over an hour and then told there were still 3 patients ahead of me before I finally gave up on waiting. Her nurse and billing personnel do not return phone calls in a timely manner, if at all. Her nurse dropped the ball on following-up with a prescription renewal and did not send adequate paperwork requested by the insurance company, so the insurance refused to pay for the prescription. Dr. Adams has had me come see her ever 3-4 months to keep tabs on my BP and other issues. Despite having regular lab work and visits, she did not code a single visit in 2019 as a "wellness" visit. When the doctor finally sees you, it's for a brief period of time, maybe 5-10 minutes at the most. I'll give her high marks for her bedside manner. I'm just a payment and not a person.

Dr. Adams is a competent and knowledgeable physician. She is helpful but not pushy. Dr. Adams' advise may very well have saved my husband's life, as she encouraged him to see a urologist and this was the best thing that could have happened. As my physician, I find her clinical skills very good.

Dr. Adams is no-nonsense and quite thorough. She doesn't hesitate to tell me the truth even if it's not what I want to hear, and she is aggressive in her attempts to get my health to the level it should be. She takes the time to get the complete picture. I know she cares about her patients.
