Argumentive and rude
This doctor raised his voice at my father for asking a question about his prognosis. He showed a complete lack of compassion and understanding for someone going through chemotherapy only to be potentially diagnosed with another cancer. I would recommend searching elsewhere for a doctor who actually cares about their patients.

Referred to urologist after a hospital visit. Came here to Dr. Gervasi. Took longer to get my blood pressure taken than it did for Dr. Gervasi to examine and talk to me. I voiced concerns and he so nonchalantly brushed it off and sent me on my way telling me to take over the counter medications if I want, and if I need to come back to just call. Why would I come back to you when you only spoke to me for not even 2 minutes before sending me on my way? Zero insight or help given, zero questions asked. The guy could not have cared less and I’d feel more confident getting medical treatment from my dog.

I see Dr. Berte for Testosterone Therapy. This office is the worst when it comes to customer services. I could not get in touch with my doctor when I was suffering from a side effect of my medication. By the time they got back to me, I had resorted to going to another doctor for help. At my 6th month visit to this doctor he wrote up my prescription which is usually 12 vials of Testosterone used for ninety days. The bottles are for single dosing only meaning that there is no preservative so once the vial is opened you must discard what is not used. The way he wrote the script was leaving me with 7 doses rather than 12. My doctor has been writing my prescription for years but somehow on this day he wrote it the wrong way. I called the office and was told that I either take it the way he said or go find another doctor. The staff is unprofessional and appears to lack knowledge when it comes to proper care of those on testosterone therapy.

My husband was diagnosed with cancer and Dr Gervasi took over his care. He appears to be very knowledgeable about the disease process and treatments but appeared to NOT want to discuss prognosis and did not answer some questions directly. The office staff are sometimes rude. I called to verify an appointment time,, was placed on hold for 15 minutes with no answer, and eventually hung up. During visits office staff are sometimes impolite and speak to you in a condescending manner. The way my husband was told he had cancer was by office staff calling him and telling him over the phone that he has “a little cancer.” I did some research on evidence based treatments and Dr Gervasi is providing appropriate and effective treatment.

I was referred to Dr. Gervasi by one of his current patients. I tried to make an appointment. The appointment scheduler was extremely rude and dismissive. This is not great first impression.

Dr. Gervasi took over my care with kidney stone issues when he joined Southwest Urology. He has been an excellent physician that I trust completely. He has a very warm, easy going personality that makes talking with him easy. He’s an excellent physician that I recommend highly.
