I had debated making my 1st consultation appointment for my well over a year. After prayer, LOTS of research, and a lot more prayer, the appointment was made. I made the 2.5 hour drive from Georgia to met Dr. Schmitt. He was patient, understanding, informative and took the time to answer all my questions (and there were a lot!). I have never felt alone in this weight loss process!I had ZERO side effects (no nausea, no sickness, zero) and went home to Georgia the very next day. Dr. Schmitt’s sweet nurse came directly to my hotel room after I was discharged from recovery and made sure I was doing well. My only regret was I didn’t do this sooner!

I put off having my surgery for so long because I didn't think I needed help. However, I needed help, badly. Dr. Schmitt did my surgery of a morning, and I was home that afternoon walking around. The care I received after my Gastric Sleeve was great. Nurses called to check on me several times the first few weeks. When I had a question or concern my surgeon, Dr Lee Schmitt was the one that called me back! That means A LOT to me!

I was skeptical about having the sleeve surgery done after finding out I had fibromyalgia. I called to cancel my surgery and the receptionist said she would tell the doctor. Doctor Schmitt called me less than 20 minutes lately asking my fears. After talking with him, I agreed to have the surgery. Because of Dr. Schmitt I have lost 40+ pounds and have went from a size 2XL to a size medium in 5 months to be exact. He has not only been a surgeon, but a friend I desperately needed to understand my situation. He will not accept anything less than your all and will push you to meet goals. He has no problem with expressing how proud he is of you and for you. I would do this surgery a thousand times again with Dr. Schmitt
