Dr. Leela Lavasani, MD

I had an appointment at 10:30 to discuss my thyroid lab results and was very punctual about getting there on time for my appt. I sat in that office for over an hour waiting to be seen. Never saw Dr Lavasani to discuss my thyroid results. Nurse practitioner who barely knew my situation or understood my results waited on me. I left there feeling like they didn't really care and it was all about the money. They clearly overbook their schedule. Sadly, this is the second time I have been to her office and I will probably not be going back for the reasons that I just felt they don't care to take the time to care for you.

I would not trust this staff with my medical information. I came in as a referral from another doctor for thyroid nodules. The entire office staff is incompetent when sending orders, I had to hand walk my orders into the hospital after multiple attempts to get the office to resend. Two weeks after my procedure, I called and asked about the results because out was taking too long and I was getting worried.I called and they 'never received the results' and berated me about the lengths they went to get my results, as if its my fault, and how their (faulty) systems work. I have never felt so ridiculed for asking about my own health results. I will be taking my testing elsewhere because the entire office is incompetent and rude and I wouldn't trust them with surgery.

Having had cancer, I’ve had the opportunity to compare providers elsewhere in the country. Therefore, I travel 1000 miles to have appointments with Dr. Lavasani!She is highly competent, but because she is so patient centric, proactive, and secure, she has also brought in other specialist providers to even further improve my outcomes.I cannot say enough about the good her care has done for me.

Dr. lavasani listened to my ailments, a block in the left side of my throat and my fear to clean my ears due to vertigo. Other doctors have been consulted but none have helped me. She pulled up a stool, cleaned my ear completely and discovered a growth on my vocal cords which we are dealing with quickly. This was my favorite office visit EVER! i am so grateful to her.

I brought my son in because he failed his hearing test. His pediatrician told me he has ear wax in the tubes. I called Dr.lavasani because she is the one who put the tubes in 2017 the tubes have been in my son’s ears for over 4 years they haven’t fall out. They need to be removed but when I mentioned that to her she rushed me to go make an appointment for a comprehensive hearing test. I feel like they just want to take your money in of addressing the problem.

If you want a Doctor who actually cares about you, one who doesn't rush to prescribe harmful drugs, one who looks for solutions outside the box ... here she is. She has helped me get through double-cancer and her compassionate care has stood out amongst all the doctors I have seen. As the Producer who discovered the Pop star 'Prince^ and wrote his first hit song, I know talent when I see it and Dr. Lavasani is a ROCK STAR!!!

I had several complaints but she only talked about one complaint. She was rushing a bit. As soon as she finished examining, she asked me to follow her out. I didn’t realize that our session was over so quickly and I still had some questions I didn’t have a chance to ask. I don’t recommend her.

I've had to visit three ENT around Naples. I'm so fortunate that I finally tried Dr. Lavasani. While it was a struggle sometimes to get on her schedule and her offices telephone system is frustrating, she is genuine and clearly interested in helping her patient. I've been misdiagnosed over the past 18 months, but after seeing her, she literally changed my life. We are so lucky to have such a special ENT in our small community. Just wish her office phone system was as good as she is.

After dealing with ongoing vertigo, instead of doing a simple test for benign positional vertigo in her office, I was referred for expensive testing which could have been avoided. On two occasions, I was told her office would contact me to set up tests and therapy, and I received no call back. I had to call the office repeatedly to try to get someone to call me back. Their phone system often just puts you into voice mail. This is the Naples location. I cannot recommend this physician.

She does not spend time with you at all or explains anything or listens well, it seems as if she does not believe the patient of his complaints if the problem is not obvious right away as in my case. Her nasal endoscopy was not thorough it was way too quick to see anything. And if the problem seems to complex she just wants you to go somewhere else even if it still in the area of ENT. I think she is not confident of her skills and does not have much experience especially in the surgical arena.
