Dr. Leland Winston, MD

On my first visit to Dr. Winston I found him to be extremely professional, very caring and a friendly individual. He told me what was going on with my knee and things I could do to further enhance its recovery. I am very grateful to having been referred to his Office. His PA (Tobin) falls into this same category and if I could have given them more stars I would have. Before my appointment my wife & I were driving thru our second parking garage trying to find a place to park. When it looked like I may have to cancel my appointment I called his office and explained to the receptionist that she may want to cancel my appointment due to still trying to park. She was very helpful, told me not to worry about showing up late and then gave me suggestions as to where to park. Sometimes when your day isn't going so well your blessed to run into such people as on Dr. Winston's team that makes you forget about what it took to get there and happy you got there.

Disappointed with the cleanliness of the office! The PA who was doing the injection, tried to fix the trash in the middle of the procedure. I had to remind him to change his gloves before continuing the procedure! Then he put all the bloody stuff on the bed and didn't clean the bed after! I asked to talk to a manager, Dr. Winston came to the room and asked me about the problem while the PA was in the room, which I think is not professional. and said he doesn't even wear a glove himself!

My family has been using Dr. Winston for more than 15 years. He has conducted surgeries on both my sons and twice on me. I just recently had a total knee replacement. Why Dr Winston? He does about 10 knee replacements a week in Houston so experience matters to me. He's an old school doctor who tells you in a matter of fact manner. Rice University Football team trusts him as their team ortho Doctor and so do I!
