Not a great listener!
Felt like I was interrupted her meal! Her dish was on her desk very close to me! The last time I saw her many years ago she was knitting! What???? The only reason I went to her was because she is the rheumatologist in Northwell Health. I very much liked her nurse, Sara! I felt she was more knowledgeable than the Dr. I will wait to hear blood results but most likely will not go back.

Dr Lori Dr Sloane,.
Dr Sloane is definitely not a caring doctor I would ever recommend. Her office never followed up with my many requests, oral and written in the form of faxed past MRI reports and other doctors referrals recommending me for a rheumatology consult. I finally got a callback after three months from her nurse who tells me they were unable to find all my faxed paperwork and that this doctor doesn’t treat this particular arthritic condition I have, let alone that she is aware of. Very, very disappointing to know she is in this group. Her treatment of prospective patients, especially ones that are great pain from spinal cervical and thoracic arthritis, is deplorable. My other doctors in the Northwell Group are caring, skilled and patient-focused. This doctor appears to not meet Northwell Health standards at all. If you’re in need of a good Rheumatologist sadly she is not the one.

Went to see Dr. Sloane with a long history of arthritis. ? of whether or not it's rheumatoid. After reviewing bloodwork and hand x-rays, she said I had no sign of arthritis. But, I've had both hips replaced (at age 50) due to arthritis. She said it was probably undiagnosed congenital hip dysplagia. Wrong. I was followed, x-rayed, etc. by a couple of orthopedic surgeons who dx'd me with arthritis. She offered no resolution all the while eating while talking to me on the phone.
