I recently had an experience with Dr. Rincon that I feel compelled to share, as it may benefit others in choosing their healthcare provider. Initially, there was an incident where my scheduled appointment was canceled without any prior notification from the office. Understandably, things happen – doctors may need to take leave for various reasons – but communication is key, and unfortunately, it was lacking in this instance. I arrived at the office only to discover my appointment had been canceled, which was not the best experience. After rescheduling, which took over a month and a half due to the doctor's availability, I unfortunately encountered a personal issue the night before my new appointment that led to a significant lack of sleep. This resulted in my inadvertently missing the appointment. In response, Dr. Rincon chose to send a certified letter stating her decision to discontinue my care due to this single missed appointment. While I understand the importance of adhering to scheduled appointments, I believe compassion and understanding are also crucial in patient care. It was disappointing to see that one oversight, influenced by unforeseen circumstances, resulted in such a definitive action without room for discussion or understanding. I hope this feedback underscores the importance of effective communication and empathy in healthcare. It is vital for a doctor to not only provide medical care but also to show understanding and concern for their patients' situations.

It's her way or the highway.
Dr. Rincon insisted that my mother be admitted to the hospital to figure out why she was having health issues. She has multiple health issues/concerns and yet the only way to be admitted to the hospital was by going to the ER. After spending 6 hours in the ER waiting for a bed to open up (just in the ER, NOT the hospital, which also had no rooms available) it was determined that she had a UTI, for which she was given a dose of antibiotics, but after waiting with no communication from the triage nurses, we left the ER starving, tired and frustrated. Because it was a Friday, we had to wait until Monday to speak to Dr. Rincon about getting more antibiotics. Because she was frustrated about our having left the ER, she was resistant to prescribing an antibiotic and ultimately 'broke up' with my mother because I called the clinic every day for about 7 days trying to track down the medication to help my ailing mother. Do NOT recommend.

Dr Rincon is a wonderful PCP
Dr. Rincon is the best PCP that I have had in years. She listens, she answers questions clearly, she is not rushed. She is up to date on information. Most importantly, she remembers who you are and what you are dealing with healthwise.
