This doctor messed up my life for three years because she utterly dismissed me. I have lupus and hashimoto’s (which have now been diagnosed and is being treated by someone competent). My bloodwork and clinical picture at the time presented an obvious case. I brought a physical list of my symptoms to the appointment which she never glanced at or took out of my hands. I emailed saying this, that I was going to seek another opinion. She had me wait two weeks to come in to the office for a follow up, where she told me that my lab work and clinical picture did not match any diagnosis and there was nothing to currently do. I asked her how she could know this if if she hadn’t heard all my symptoms, she defensively said she had. I asked her to explain the labs I was positive for including one antibody virtually exclusive in lupus patients. She was vague and gave me misinformation. She wrote in my chart that I was a problem patient and this follows me to my next rheum. Horrible person

Very disappointed with my service.. or lack of. First meeting she seemed rushed, disinterested in me and was a little condescending. Ordered over $3,000 worth of blood work and when I came back for my follow up and confirmed that I have RA, when I seemed a little shocked her response was " Well that is what you thought you had". I had to tell her yes but that it why a came to you to confirm. I didn't like her bedside manner. After my diagnosis she never followed up with me for treatment.

By far the worst physician I encountered. I initially had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Cadet in late December 2019. I got a call from her the morning of (I live in Brooklyn, my appointment was on the upper east side for 11am. The call came in at 9:30am) stating she needed to cancel my appointment and to call back and speak with a secretary to be rescheduled. Fine. So I call back and she isn’t available to meet again until 1/31/2020. I arrive on said date and 15 min after my schedule appointment, she walks out of her office and tells me she attempted to call me the day prior to tell me my appointment time needed to be moved to 11AM because she had a “meeting”. I never received a call from her office, neither did I receive a voice message re: this matter which I would have appreciated considering I traveled over an hour for this appointment. It’s truly unfortunate because I left my old rheumatologist due to feeling like my experience and symptoms as a patient did not matter.

I brought my 84 year old father to see Dr Cadet after his pcp gave him a referral. She was quick and impersonal, and seemed annoyed she had to be there. She spoke quickly and only asked what his pain was like. Her answer to him was "well you are OLD your going to get pain".I think she needs reeducation in her communication with patients .
