I waited 30 min at my first appointment before leaving the exam room to find Dr. Abedi (he was in the same place where he was when I first went in). After explaining my symptoms, he asked me what I thought we should do??? I ended up getting bloodwork and an ultrasound done. At my follow up appointment, he just read the results to me when I already knew the results since I was the one who sent them in. He said that nothing was wrong when I have been having issues now for the past 4 months with no prior history or other explanation that could explain my symptoms. When I brought this up and pointed out a value that was 4x my normal, he again asked me what tests we should do. This is the most frustrating experience with a doctor that I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I left my appointment crying because I was so upset. Please find a different doctor, even if you have to wait a while to get an appointment.

They are way too busy or unorganized for patients
I am not sure he listened and understood my issues, as I told him this is what killed my father. He scheduled an endoscopy which seemed like the standard procedure for them. I got home and realized the scheduled endoscopy date was when I was out of state. I called them on that very day and just got voice mail with a promise to call back in 48 hours. I then called three days later and got voice mail again, to which I left both my work and cell numbers. Nothing came back at all, to which I then used their "APP" to contact and tell them that I needed to reschedule. The message was sent on their app, but I am still waiting to receive something. I did notice my cell had a missed call from GastroHealth, but no voicemail. I tried calling again today and got voicemail, so I then hit the digits to route to what was indicated as a nurse. A person picked up and sent me to a schedule extension. It is evident that not just this Dr.; but the organization cannot help or care for patients.

I would give this doctor 0 stars if it was an option. I went to get an endoscopy and I had the worst pain in my middle/upper chest for 5 days (bruised throat and irritated rash from this). I was promised a call back last week didn’t get a biopsy report for 12 days (I had to finally call them first to ask about it) and the doctor was out of town so another doctor had to give me my report. The nurses were unhelpful and asked the same questions repeatedly. Go to any other doctor please. Worst experience ever.

This guy doesn’t care
Despite dealing with digestive issues for several months Dr Abedi didn’t listen. He said must be a gluten intolerance and wanted me to come back in 4 weeks. I was the one who asked him to give me several tests including H Pylori test. Thankfully he complied after saying it’s probably not that. Guess what it turned out to be? H Pylori. When you go to a doctor you want to be confident they know more than you. This guy is supposed to have a medical degree and he didn’t have the foresight to even give an H Pylori breath test as a precaution. He just assumed gluten intolerance despite all of the symptoms I explained in detail? Very disappointing doctor who doesn’t listen and is just eager to spend 15 minutes on you and leave. Maybe it’s him or maybes it’s all GI doctors…

Horrible. I strongly advise anyone, for their sanity and health, avoid Dr. Abedi at all costs! Colonoscopy was rushed. His bedside manner was horrible. After the procedure, there was a diaper with crap on it on my lap. Who does this when a patient recovers from anesthesia? Get a 2nd opinion ASAP.

I needed a test before going back to Boston for treatment. He ask me the day and made it happen. I found him informative, and pleasant to deal with. I also was a new patient with a referral.

I called the after hours number because I was having a scary GI experience and he yelled at me for bothering him on a Friday night. I was already extremely upset and he made my experience a million times worse. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone! He is the most rude and unprofessional doctor I have met in my entire life!!!!
