Engaging and Caring
I have been seeing Syed for some years now. Dr Syed is engaging and good at explaining things. Dr Syed was there for me, when I was on vacation, had some episodes, and needed medications in Georgia. I was one of the very first folks to get a Covid shot in Michigan, and Dr Syed watch the system and reached out to me about how I was able to get the shot early - to get information for 'all' of her patients (that's caring...)

Caring doctor that has Changed my life.
Dr. Syed listens to what is going on runs the proper tests and really learns what is happening before just putting you on a medication. over 5 years ago I started seeing her for pain and arthritis issues and today I am in remission and just maintaining my symptoms. I look forward to seeing her smiling face, knowing she cares for her patients and will spend the time to understand. I have sent friend and now my mother to her and know they will be cared for. Thank you Dr. Syed.

Mahpara Syed is absolutely the worst doctor I have ever seen. She didn't take any of the concerns my PCP or myself expressed seriously, dismissed me for asking a question by saying "are you a doctor?" And told me that my autoimmune disorder symptoms were indicative of a "mental illness called fibromyalgia".....How is it that a physician doesn't know what fibromyalgia is? At that point I should have asked if she was a doctor. She was condescending, incompetent and lazy. She didn't run any of the tests my PCP referred me to her for, so I literally paid her to waste my time. If you're looking for answers, she's not going to be the one to find them for you. The only good thing I can say about my terrible experience is that I was able to get in for an appointment quickly; but, with the low standard of care provided, it makes sense why. I can laugh about the whole thing now, but save yourself the frustration and avoid this doctor at all costs.

My mother in law was her patient. She had a small balance of 200.00 on her account and was told to pay as you go it wasn’t a problem. But at her next appointment was told very rudely and disrespectfully in front of other people that she was dropped by her doctor and that the balance was sent to collections. This doctor has not been able treat the underlying issue with my mother in laws arthritis in her hands anyway. And seemed clueless from day as how to proceed with treatment. If you need a doctor look elsewhere. It’s for your good. Don’t waste time arthritis is persistent disease that can do damage quickly don’t waste precious time with this woman.

I was suffering from severe right elbow pain, could not lift water cup from cup holder in car. Jessica was able to get me in for an appointment right away to see Dr Syed. After asking me some questions and doing a physical exam she gave me a steroid injection. It did not hurt nearly as much as I thought and seemed to start working immediately. 2 weeks later and still feels great. Both Dr Syed and Jessica were very nice and and did a great job. I highly recommend the office.

Dr. Syed is kind, professional and attentive. She took the time to address all of my concerns. I was relieved after my visit, knowing that I will have the proper treatment after the tests are back. The office staff was amazing too! Thank you.

Best doctor and staff! I had spoke with many offices with very rude staff! When I called Dr. Sayed's office Amanda was so kind and took time to listen to my situation. She actually called me back with a cancellation appointment that we took. I cannot say enough about meeting Dr. Sayed, she listened, and explained everything. She was very thorough. Even personally called as soon as she had our test results. I'm grateful for meeting her and her entire staff!

if you want to be treated like you're a complete nuisance by the girl at the front desk then this is the place for you. She is completely rude and will hang up on you when she is done with you even if you are mid sentence. This has happened several times. This I could deal with, if Dr. Syed could get her details straight. Several times I have had to return for prescription due to her forgetting to put it in. I'd find another RA as I have done.

Dr. Syed is an excellent physician. In the two years I have been working with her, she has worked with me to dramatically improve my body's response to several autoimmune conditions. She is an exceptional listener, and takes the time to see the whole picture of what you are dealing with medically. I have referred several of my friends to her practice.

I have had 4 rheumatologist (changed due to insurance changes and moving). Dr. Syed is the first to sit down and explain my results and treatment. She also explained why she was doing the tests she was ordering. The office girls are always pleasant. Medication issues and refills are taken care of right away. Compared to my past Dr's she is amazing!

I waited about a month before I could get in but it was well worth it. The staff was great and very friendly. No form to fill out because all my info was in the Beaumont Hospital system. The Doctor took her time and listened to everything I had to say. On my second visit she explained every test result and show me them on her laptop. She answered every question I had. We started a new medication and I never felt better.

I also was treated in a "non professional" way at the Michigan Rheumatology office.. Nothing I said had a bearing on what the dr. wanted to conclude.....( I also had no physical exam by the dr. to see if all my joints were affected or the limitations of them.) maybe it would make a difference if some "professionals" listen more and talk less...

I was able to get an appointment with in a week of my PCP referring me. Plus my follow up appointment was scheduled right away. They office was very clean and staff was friendly. Dr. Syed was very nice and professional. She listened to every concern I had and asked me tons of questions about my health. She sat me down and went through my chart with me. Dr. Syed broke down every possibility and explained our plan of action thoroughly. I am very grateful to have found this doctor.

I wish there were negative stars. She revoked a diagnosis I received by a geneticist, reassigned said diagnosis without doing a physical exam (I did not even take off my coat), interrogated me heavily as if my illnesses were crimes and scolded me and my mother about not doing a better job with treatment. Before leaving, she asked me why I even came to see her. Waste of precious time, energy and money!
