Professional, patience
I had brain tumors surgery last year with Dr. Aghi, he able to removed all 2 tumors that I have. The staffs actually wanted radiation on 1 tumor, remove 1 tumor, I don't want it, since my skull will be cut, & the tumor on same line location, better remove both tumors will be easier & lighter for me. Dr. Aghi able to remove both, he has his own proffesional judgement as neurosurgeon, he listened my concerned, meet my expectations.

I had a telehealth consultation with Dr. Aghi regarding partial empty sella syndrome. It was an excellent consultation. I learned alot about my confusing situation. The Dr. was friendly, a good listener, and was reassuring. Also his administrative staff person was fantastic in helping to arrange an out of state consult and assisting in the complicated issues of getting my MRI images into his facility's patient portal.

Several years ago Dr Aghi did two operations on my pituitary gland. I posted a review at the time but it seems to have disappeared. I think the review was important so I'm going to try again. After the first operation, checkup MRIs seem to indicate that the tumor might be growing again. So they wanted to do another surgery to find out what was happening. When I woke up from the second surgery I had a huge fat lip and a very hard time breathing. I asked to talk to the doctor but he refused to see me, responding that he had "told my wife." I think it's important the doctors are willing to talk to patients about surgeries they have performed on them and answer questions if the patients have them. This doctor refused me that courtesy. Then again I'm still alive, so there is that. Chances are he'll probably talk to you if you need him to. Maybe I'm the only one he's ever refused to talk to.

Dr. Aghi performed the gamma knife on my meningioma in 2014. I had a craniotomy on a second meningioma on 11/1/19. Both procedures were successful, with a great recovery. Dr Aghi is an amazing neurosurgeon, I highly recommend UCSF, and Dr. Aghi.

Dr Aghi performed my craniotomy for me back in 2013. I went in through the emergency room and was diagnosed with a pilocytic astrocytoma. He was very professional and answered all of my questions. The surgery went better than expected. I can honestly say that Dr Aghi gave me my life back. I went from headaches every day and missing out on most of my life to being able to enjoy it. I highly recommend him and his staff to anyone.

After my diagnosis was established via blood labs, and CT & MRI imaging, my PCP took charge of preventive screening for skin cancer, enlarged heart, gastro-endo issues affecting acromegaly patients. I learned chances for a successful procedure went from 60-70% up to 90% with a skilled neurosurgeon specializing in pituitary tumor surgery. I sought help outside San Diego and discovered CA Center for Pituitary Studies at UCSF. Dr. Manish Aghi, M.D., PhD., and his team, was the best choice for me.
