Dr. Manolito Fidel I, MD

Dr. Fidel is an awful doctor. He lacks compassion for mental health patients, and often lies and does not follow through with what he agrees to with the patient. The only time he spent time speaking with me was when he was locked in a room with me and two other staff members. Besides those times, he did not seem interested in my health, and made me feel like I was just a check list he was trying to rush through. He did not follow through with the medication changes we agreed to, or actually put in the release date that he confirmed with me at College Hospital. Of two of the three times I spoke with him initially, he lied to me and I had to submit a grievance and threaten to leave with an AMA to get the staff to reach out to him to release me on the day he had agreed to because he shows up only after the social workers have left. I would not recommend Dr. Fidel to anybody, and I worry for all the patients who he treats as other patients there told me he failed them similarly

I had the worst experience with a psychiatrist ever with him. He single-handedly made me scared to seek help

This fool lied to me and kept me in the Del Amo hellhole for longer than 5150 mandatory 72 hour hold...I was there seven days against my will. No orientation or patient rights handbook was ever provided. I played their game just to avoid the entire 14 day sentence. They wanted me there to collect the insurance money. What a joke! Dr. Fidel is a greedy quack!

Totally useless psychiatrist. Avoid at all costs.
