Dr. Maria Werly, MD

Dr. Werly is a tremendous problem solver. She has an excellent sense of how to triage and address problems and when to do more investigation. I am a physician myself and easily know and help train hundreds of doctors but I have found Dr. Werly to be knowledgeable, compassionate, intelligent, personable and communicative. The office staff who work around her are all personable and pleasant to engage whether at the front desk, her medical assistant and the phlebotomist. I am very grateful for the care I receive from Dr. Werly and her team.

Dr. Werly decided not to see me as a patient in the future because she didn’t want to participate in a Kansas Medicaid program. My office visit with Dr. Werly was cancelled without prior notification from her or the medical office staff. The cancellation of the appointment was blamed on me, the patient by the front desk. The front desk staff whispered about details of the appointment. The office manager made the front desk staff relay the news to the patient and made herself unavailable.

Dr. Werly has been my PCP for years now. She knows me and even my family members and has always been a professional who takes my concerns and conditions seriously and always shows me compassion and keeps at an issue until it is resolved or at least under control. I did very much prefer the old clinic and have experienced frustration with trying to get timely appointments. I understand though that is not the fault of Dr Werly herself and it does seem to be getting better. The clinic nurses and desk staff are also competent and kind.

Timely, courteous, knowledgeable.

I am 52 years old and, therefore, have seen a physician or two in my time. I am also a retired physician myself. Dr. Werly has a diverse medical knowledge base, she treats me with compassion and concern, and (very important to me) she acknowledges my own education but does not encourage me to treat myself. I'd also like to note that I have never (yes, never) experienced a clinic as efficient and as devoted to preventive care. The office is extraordinary and Dr. Werly is truly a gift.

Dr. Werly is an awesome doctor and an awesome human being. She has been my doctor for maybe 5 years and has always taken great care of my wife and I. The health clinic is now owned by St. Luke’s Health Systems, was previously a Mosiac location, but regardless, she is still my go to Doctor.
