Great care
Dr Rasmussen provided clear discussion of options to treat a knee problem which was proven to be undisplaced insufficiency fracture and meniscus injuries. Conservatively treated, it resolved without surgery. Super grateful for his care.

Very professional and an excellent surgeon. Dr. Mark has done both of my shoulders now with great success. We were worried that replacing the shoulder was going to be necessary; Dr. Mark was able to put me back

Very Knowledgeable and Skilled Surgeon
Dr. Mark performed my knee replacement 17 years ago and I've never had an issue. He even had to build up my lower shin bone due to deterioration. He has a wonderful bedside manner and you feel confident in his care. The staff was very helpful at the clinic.

Surgery and follow-ups going well
Had surgery on shoulder, reattached some structure and removed a very irritating and painful piece of bone, in PT now with some progress, hoping to fully recover.

Poor scheduling and communicaton
Pretty poor. First visit was with the Dr's assiaistant, which was fine, but had a 45 minute wait after appt time. They explained it away as "We didn't know you were back from x-ray". I accepted that and scheduled a follow up. I arrived ahead of time, as requested, and after waiting 45+ minutes past my appt time asked for a refund of my co-pay. That took another 15 minutes. At any point in the wait time, or upon sigNing in, they could have told me the Dr was running behind but they did not. He may be the best shoulder surgeon in the world, I have no idea, but the lack of customer care is about as bad as it can get.

Amazing doctor and facility
Dr Mark Rasmussen is amazing! He did both my knees and I had no issues whatsoever. He’s kind and I heard all the nurses go to him! He’s really the best doctor in Kansas City. The KCOI hospital is amazing too. I would highly recommend Dr Mark Rasmussen!

He is the very best surgeon and person. He had performed both knee surgeries both shoulder surgeries among many visits over the years and I would always choose him not to mention Tracy his PA who is the best and their medical assistant Carol who is the best as well! I feel confident and comfort when I depend on them!

I went in with a torn meniscus. I went to physical therapy at an unaffiliated facility. My knee got no better. I’ve had problems with my knees after playing sports for most of my life. Between the time of the injury and after PT my knee didn’t get better and because I limped through that time I ended up with bone on bone issues with both knees. After a year of suffering I finally decided to see Doctor Rasmussen. He gave me a couple of options, knee brace because I was afraid of surgery or knee replacement. Eventually I went with the surgery. After both surgeries I was up a few hours after the anesthesia wore off and walking with a walker. I went home the next day. The recovery went very well. Every follow-up Dr Rasmussen was attentive, answering all of my questions and very friendly. It’s been less than a since my last surgery and I my knees are better than ever. No one notices the scars unless I point them out. I highly recommend him.

Wonderful and professional. I had two knee replacement surgeries during this Covid stuff and all was clean and very professional. I actually started coughing during surgery...acid reflux, but from what I learned it was taken care of promptly and professionally. If I had three knees, I would go back to Dr. Mark.
