Symptoms dismissed and lack of knowledge with peri
Dr. Dolinger’s bedside manner is absolutely terrible. I went in for hallmark perimenopause symptoms hoping to discuss HRT only to be told that peri is only when start missing your period. This is not true and not what the menopause society (and other societies) define as perimenopause. I felt so invalided and dismissed that I ended up breaking down crying. I used the sleeve of my shirt to wipe my tears and she didn’t even offer a tissue. Worst, most traumatic, doctor visit I’ve ever had.

Terrible. Worst exam of my life and I am 60 years old so have had many. Defensive, argumentative and judgmental. Worse was painful and uncaring. Awful. So disappointed, wish I had checked her reviews, not just the practice.

Judgmental and unsympathetic
I had my first IUD inserted by Dr. Dolinger and still think about that experience years later. She expressed that she was hesitant to give me an IUD at all since I was not married; she repeatedly asked me how many sexual partners I had had and only agreed to approve the IUD once she heard I was in a long-term monogamous relationship. I had extreme pain during insertion and fainted, and I felt dismissed and was told my reaction was highly unusual, while in doing more research I've found that lots of women have had similar pain. I would never refer a friend to Dr. Dolinger.

Horrible Experience
She was horrible. Rude and sarcastic and did not listen to any concerns i had. Extremely unhygienic and unprofessional Not gentle and it was painful. Touched the speculum with bare hands. Did not feel safe or comfortable will NEVER go back.

Incredible negative experience!
Her communication was fragmented, poor listener, and defensive at times when I would try make sure I was being understood. After the initial communication she said I should set up for a yearly exam. I was totally confused because that is what I was there for. She confirmed that I indeed had an appointment for an exam. -Asked if I wanted a gown? (ummm yes please)-Proceeded to hand me a gown then said, 'You deserve a new one since you are so 'exasperated!' She then handed me another gown and left me standing there in wonder with two gowns. During the exam she said Left, when it was on my right. Once the exam was finished she said, 'there it is!'... I asked what that meant? She rambled some things that did not make since. I could not wait to get out of there and follow up with a new Dr.

Very uncaring
Dealt with pelvic pain for years, every time I mentioned the pain my concerns were dismissed. I had pain with a pelvic exam and I was told that it’s normal and they won’t hurt in the future. She threatened to drop me as a patient if I got pregnant after expressing concern that the current pill that I was on wasn’t effective for the pelvic pain management. She blamed my weight for the pelvic pain around my periods I had been dealing with for 8 years due to being overweight. She focused a lot on weight and did not look past it. I switched doctors and was quickly diagnosed with endometriosis. I wouldn’t recommend anyone see her especially if you have any chronic conditions or are not within the “normal” range of the BMI scale

Zero bedside table manners - rude
Saw her as a teen through early 20s and ultimately switched providers after several horrible visits. She is harsh, judgmental, rude and genuinely lacks any sort of bedside manner. I have never felt so un-safe and so disrespected with a doctor. I would never recommend this woman to anyone.

Not helpful
I contacted this office due to incessant pelvic pain, endometriosis, perimenopause symptoms, and a fibroid at the urging of my PCP. I let the office know why I needed an appointment and they scheduled me with Dr. Dolinger. She seemed friendly and knowledgeable, but after the appointment I left feeling frustrated. She hadn't looked at my medical history or my recent ultrasound, insisted that I was too young for perimenopause (I'm on the young side but within the correct age range) and then gave me the name of a reproductive endocrinologist to see instead. She essentially apologized for wasting my time, but didn't actually care enough to actually be helpful. She's probably fine if you just need an annual pelvic exam but I wouldn't see her if you have a bigger issue.

Rushed, no aftercare instructions, unprofessional
Technically, I think Dr. Dolinger did a satisfactory job with the surgical procedure. In terms of bedside manner though, I would not recommend and definitely won't return. I was incredibly anxious, in a lot of pain, and had a lot of questions, but felt like she did not take the time to explain any aftercare or take my questions seriously. She noticed I had another issue going on in addition to what she was treating and just said "yeah I don't treat that, maybe you should go to the emergency room, it looks pretty bad" and laughed. I couldn't tell if she was serious or not...it felt really insensitive and made my anxiety skyrocket. I asked her for some additional pads (because I was bleeding and leaking fluid from the procedure), and she scoffed and said "you could go to the store and buy some." You work at the healthcare system with the most money in the state and it kills you to offer me two pads?? Come on. It felt so uncaring and disrespectful. There is more but enough said.

World class Patient Care
My patient experience with Dr. Dolinger today was excellent. She was very attentive, informative, and caring. She is very knowledgeable and shared valuable insight. Katy, her office receptionist and Sultanna, Dr. Dolinger’s assistant, were also very helpful, respectful and kind. I highly recommend Dr. Dolinger if you are in need of an excellent, intelligent, gentle and experienced, compassionate GYN doctor, who cares about her patients. And to note her wonderful team of professionals who greet you with a smile and contributed to my overall positive experience.

I have been going to Dr. Dolinger for years, and I am currently in the process of switching after multiple problematic visits with her. I have never been treated by a doctor with so much disrespect in my life. She rushes through the appointments even if you have questions, and she’s very condescending and rude time and time again even if she does not intend to be. I have even given her a few chances, giving her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she was having a bad day when i saw her, but her unprofessionalism at every single visit is far too overwhelming for any more chances. I have a particular gynecological condition (which a specialist diagnosed) and she was very insensitive when discussing my condition with me for years, saying things that left me extremtly upset, confused, and frustrated after all of my visits with her. I will never see this doctor again, she has caused me great psychological distress and I would not recommend her to anyone by any means.

I had a miscarriage. This doctor was on call so she saw me after my ultrasound. She came into the room saying “do you already know?” i said nobody had told me anything (mind you, had been bleeding profusely all day and was 5weeks pregnant so I knew something was wrong), she said “there is nothing there” as she flipped the pages of the ultrasound read and proceded to focus on what a mioma is and how “there is no baby there”. She saw me for less than 5min, during my pelvic (which was very painful but of course she NEVER asked me about pain or how much bleeding I had or ANYTHING else - apart of “how did you know you were pregnant?” (Two pregnancy tests!) she answered a page while she had one hand inside of me saying “sorry, it mighr be an emergency”. She then told me they’d check my hcg and that someone would call me “later today or tomorrow” My hcg of course was high but I did not get a call until 3 days later. What kind of human being, treats a woman who just miscarriaged that way?

I recently saw Marna Dolinger as the doctor on call. She was extremely short, arrogant, condescending, and unprofessional. Marna got up and walked out of the exam room while I was asking questions and took our private discussion to the hallway. As I was waiting for my pregnancy test results she drummed the receptionists desk while saying “drum roll... you are NOT pregnant!” Mind you, people were around us. I was mortified. She threw her head back laughing and walked down the hall. I would never recommend this doctor.

I went to Dolinger for two visits and decided to switch. I'm a first time parent and at my first appointment, she kept trying to end the 5 min. visit when we had questions for her. She also wanted me to get the flu shot, which I am not comfortable with since the make me very ill. At my second appointment, she offered me the flu shot again and I declined. Rather than explain her concerns, she rolled her eyes and gave an exasperated sigh. She tried to walk out before answering questions again.
