Great doc and care team
Dr Schmitz is very knowledgeable, personable, and patient. I recently moved to Austin and am glad to have found her. I’ve already made a referral because of the services offered and the wonderful staff.

She goes the extra mile
I moved to Austin a couple months ago. From New Orleans to Baton Rouge to Lake Charles to Waco and now Austin - I’ve seen many doctors as I moved place to place. I knew 10 minutes into my visit with Dr. Schmitz that she was not the normal doctor. I’ve been seeing her for one month and my health has changed for the better in these 33 days morethan in the past 26 years put together. She doesn’t blow off your symptoms. She doesn’t treat you as just another patient. She treats you like her friend who she listens to and truly wants to help. She has always answered me promptly on the portal, met me at the office on a Sunday, stood by my side through a scary time at the hospital, and gotten to know my close family and explained to them when they had questions about what was happening. In a day and age where healthcare providers think it is ok to spend only 5 min in a patient’s room, not let the patient explain their issue, and talk down to patients, Dr. Schmitz upholds a higher standard.

Dr Shmitz is the most intelligent, affectionate , personable and caring physician I've ever come across. She has the most helpful and efficient staff who reflect her positivity, efficiency and caring manners.

Very kind~ sits down and talks with you. I have never felt rushed out of the office. She addresses all concerns, taking time to explain. She has a pleasant demeanor caring attitude and a lovely smile. Someone I would recommend to my friends.

Honesty and time spent in evaluating a client's wishes is poor; implied she would be refilling my scrip but wound up prescribing something else entirely - much more aggressive and unsuitable due to skin allergic reaction - when advised of this she dug her heels in and would not change the scrip. Wait times are astronomical. Three months for appointment, another month for the followup. And the office visit? 1:30 appointment, 15 minutes with doctor, left at 3:50. Will not be returning
