I had weight loss surgery in 2021 and experienced complications immediately after surgery. I developed several ulcers, infections and have not been able to eat or drink going on two and a half years. Dr. Ryou has been the doctor doing all my endoscopies. He is without a doubt an amazing doctor. He has a level of compassion that unfortunately you don't see in many doctors. Dr. Ryou took the time to sit with me and go over everything with me as well as listen to my fears and frustrations with all that has gone on and truly cared. He has an incredible personality and makes me feel completely comfortable and above all safe in these procedures. I will forever be thankful as well as great full for all he has done for me. I highly recommend him and I can't imagine any other doctor doing these procedures on me.

I have managed ALL aspects of several GI/Endoscopy units in my career. My husband was referred to Marvin Ryou post colonoscopy. The appointment was made 6 weeks ago. When we arrived 5 minutes before the scheduled appointment we were casually told “oh we were going to call you. The doctor is not here, he is on vacation.” This was 5 minutes before the appointment. Asked to see the manager who came to reception and said no one knew the doctor was on vacation. Unprofessional, inefficient and ineffective. If you have the proper scheduling program, staff are not allowed to book patients when a physician is blocked for time off. And most caring physicians check their schedules before time off to be sure there haven’t been any scheduling errors.
