A good team effort and excellent staff.
I gave 5 stars although I am a new patient I am very impressed with the responses I received shortly after my appointment. I'm not much on going to the doctor a lot so I like to plan the first part of the year to get all the health issues checked off so the rest of the year runs smoothly. I think I have found a home here. I love Kingwood anyway but this doctor's office understood my challenges and the staff is friendly and I mean lightning fast. Not only is this office a peach but the referral they gave me for another issue is also another wonderful place with terrific staff. This is the mark of a good physician to refer you to other good physicians. I believe that a person should work as a team with their doctor and have a give-and-take relationship. I am set up for some testing and that process was quick and easy to manage. Im glad I found this location.Im not sure about telehealth option yet but so far have not needed it.

No Grace offered Here
Dr. Johnson was my primary care physician for 10 years. I saw her for physicals. I had insurance changes and noticed her on our new insurance. I've been battling an illness and decided to see her. I had to wait over 2 months to get in as a new patient. By this time, I really need some medication...to continue healing. I was looking forward to my appointment. I even brought her some probiotic tea. I arrived exactly 10 minutes late...due to construction on Kingwood Dr and an elevator issue. I have offered this office staff and doctor some grace before...due to making me wait etc...Her office has a sign offering a 10 minute grace period. I made it by the skin of my teeth. My phone showed 10 minutes late. There was no one at the front desk until 2 to 3 minutes after I came in. The office girl told me the doctor might not see me...due to being late. She seemed to proceed as normal and then announced the doctor would not see me. I was shocked. No grace period offered. Finding someone better

It is almost impossible to get through to anyone in this office. I do not feel like doctor Johnson has a caring or dedicated attitude toward her patients or at least not toward my health care.

Dr. Cavnar Johnson respects the appointment times but has NEVER made me feel she was rushing. She is very through in every visit. She tells it like she sees it, yet has the ability to remain empathetic. I have never had the need to see her that she didn't either see me herself or have her PA book the appt. My prior primary DR just referred his overloads to the ER or CBS clinic.

She's informative, caring, and empathetic.
I've never had a doctor who really listens as well as she does.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Cavnar Johnson for approximately 17 years and find myself thinking it may be time to find a different doctor. Her front office staff has been consistently inept over the years. They can’t/don’t answer phone calls, don’t send lab requests in to the various labs (when they insist on doing everything electronically!), and are slow at getting prescriptions sent to the pharmacy (if you’re lucky, they might send it to the right one). The only reason for a second star is the doctor. She’s been good at helping me to manage my health, but I think there are certainly others just as good who may have an office staff worth more than 2 cents.

Mary E. Cavner-Johnson has been my doctor for most of the 33 years she has been working in Kingwood, and would still be my doctor had I not moved to Georgetown. She is one of the smartest and caring doctors that I have encountered in all my years of visiting doctors. I would strongly recommend her to anyone at anytime.

After 16 yrs of seeing Dr. Johnson, things took a complete turn in the last 2 yrs. She spent my office visits telling me about her pains & her personal issues & not even reviewing my records. She has a different staff every time I visited the office. Her moods were never consistent. She is quick to hand out BP meds & when you question her, she will lash out & scream at you for not trusting her judgement. I had to tell her to check my vitals first. Office Manager even said she is stressed out.

Called 2 make an appointment. Spoke to Nichole. Our phone call was disconnected. I called back & had 2 wait on hold all over again. she returned , "Thanks for call, can you please hold" AGAIN. Not giving a second for me to respond. I waited 7 more min. and in the middle of waiting we got disconnected again. I called back & asked to speak to the office manager. Rachel, office mang. was very rude too. I asked to have my files ready for pick up so I can change docs. $25 for my ppw SMDH.

Seeing Dr Johnson herself takes an act of God. Her office staff is rude & unprofessional. Many years ago I would have recommended Dr. Johnson to anyone, now that she is part of a corporation (I believe that is the case) I wouldn't recommend her office to anyone. They are lacking in any type of compassion for their patients. They have notices up that say they can cancel your appointment if you are 15 minutes late, but most of the time, you are not seen until 30-45 minutes after your appointment!

Instead of renewing prescriptions over the phone you have to come in and make an appointment. They are only trying to make money with this policy. Rediculous.

I had an appt. this morn at 9.40 am. I got to the location at least 20 minutes early but due to the lack of available parking I was unable to get parking. I was late by 10 minutes for an appt. I had for a month. I was refused to see and charged $25 for something beyond my control. I am very disappointed in your lack of caring. Ruth A Patterson
