My initial appointment wasn't the best but that is always the case with me having been Epileptic for 20 years and I deal with a great amount of anxiety because I've had some bad relationships with Neurologists over the years. The next time I walked in, she offered some insight regarding my condition after looking at my test results the last Dr had done which he failed to give me. Five Neurologists later, I'm happy with the one I have at the moment. I don't know that it will always be this way with her but she's given me a reason to stop and actually write this review.

Would NOT recommend. She walked into my new patient appointment carrying a folder with only a blank sheet of note paper & a large prescription pad, then realized she was in the wrong exam room. There were 3 other patients waiting in exams rooms ahead of me. First time seeing a neurologist after having complications from stroke. She never looked at a single bit of patient information, never looked at any test results, no blood work results, no history, nothing... but was ready to prescribe sleeping pills & anxiety meds in a matter of minutes with absolutely never doing a single exam or having read any of my history. Told me if I “didn’t want to take drugs, she couldn’t help me.” There were 3 patients waiting in exam rooms ahead of me and I wondered how she could have see those 3 patients in 15 minutes when she came in my exam room. Now I know.

I saw this lady years ago, and I am surprised I am still alive. I saw her for chronic headaches, she ran an EEG and a MRI. I had had a problem in the past with seizures, but had gone 18 years without one. She put me back on seizure meds, which was expected. However, after being put on a few meds, I started having so many seizures, that I spent most of my time in the hospital. She basically told me I was depressed. How you get depression out of that, is beyond me. I finally found a neurologist that listens and cares, and I have been seizure free, and on meds for quite some time now. And I have not suffered from any depression from them.

Dr Shriver SAVED MY LIFE ... I walked in with trouble walking and back pain .. I had broken my neck a few months earlier and had no idea of the severity of my injury ... the symptoms I had ,, in no way suggested it was my neck that was at issue.. Dr Shriver is my hero

I am a current patient of Dr. Shriver and she is an AMAZING doctor but her office staff ruins the great experience you have with the doctor with a simple phone call. Holly Jackie and Charlene need to be removed from the office and re-trained on phone etiquette in a medical office environment its sad because even the Google reviews say they are horrible . It sad that such a great MD has a sucky office staff. Anywhere I am able too I will complain so everyone knows how unprofessional they are.

I had to wait awhile to get in to see her after having my head MRI that she ordered. Once in there she casually explained I had a chiari malformation by drawing some scribbles on a paper to "show me what it looks like". She quickly moved on and when I asked about more details she brushed it off and said not to worry about it. She also prescribed medication that has major interactions with 2 of my other medications and she never even went over my medication list that day.

I am surprised by the other ratings. She went way above and beyond. She is fast, yet thorough. Very impressed she remembered extreme detail about my situation weeks after seeing her, without referring to her notes.

If I could leave less than a zero for this doctor, I would. I went here even though I did not trust my gut and listen to prior reviews. Low and behold, the prior reviews are 100% accurate about Dr. Shriver lack of care, lack of empathy, lack of sympathy, and flat out lack of support. Dr. Shriver is inefficient, misdiagnosis, fails to listen, fails to properly examine and simply just fails as a doctor.
