Dr Abowd has a gentle, soothing nature and his professional attendance, exam, and diagnosis affirmed my eye health, plus informatively presented necessary preventive measures for ongoing eye care. I was grateful for his time and medical review.

Dr Abowd is the best! He's calm and always takes the time to deal with my concerns. He was most helpful to me by doing the necessary tests and completing the BMV form allowing him to state that I met the vision requirements in order the renew my Ohio driver's license for another 4 years. Dr. Abowd has been monitoring the development of cataracts in both eyes. In 2021 he deemed the cataracts severe enough to warrant removal and placement of intraocular lens. My recent appointment was 13 months post-op. My vision is vastly improved since the bilateral cataract removal. I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with the results of the procedure. Dr. Abowd's office staff have always been very professional. During the pandemic, his staff are diligent and sanitizing all patient areas. I plan to continue seeing Dr. Abowd regularly to provide my vision care.

I had this physician for cataract surgery. He and his group chose not to continue the medical insurance I have been enrolled in for years when they broke away from a larger group. This is frustrating because I waited for the pandemic to slow down for over two years and he had all my information to get the second one surgically completed. Now I must start over with some other physician and pay costs that were already paid. No, I would never recommend this physician.

Dr. Abowd is a kind and gentle person and does a great job. However I wasn't impressed with the 45 minute wait past my appointment time. My time is valuable as well.

Purpose was to determine the need for eyelid surgery. Callie was professional, caring, and personable. Dr. Abowd couldn’t have been more professional and caring. He explained my situation clearly and answered my questions eliminating my concerns.

Offices and building clean and well presented. Staff friendly and helpful. Dr. explained procedure and answered questions I had. Overall, I was very satisfied with the first visit.

Vision Associates office was very well laid out, efficient, and thorough. Dr. Abowd came highly recommended and he clearly explained the eyelid surgery process and the expected outcome. He is very knowledgeable and now I look forward to getting the surgery done.
