Dr Chmell has operated on my hip in 2003 & both knees, one in 2006 & the other in 2010. I never had ANY problems with my surgeries. I am so sad to see him retire. I just wanted to wish him the best of luck in the future.

I adore Dr. Chmell. He was recommended to me by a doctor I trust completely, and he did not disappoint. He is an excellent knee specialist, and I have always found him willing to address any concerns and answer any questions in depth. He also found trials for me to participate in for my knee, as I am trying to delay surgery. I am moving to the East coast, and am seriously considering coming back just to see him.

I consider Dr. Chmell to be an expert when it comes to orthopedic knee problems. It is true that he is a man of few words, however, he will answer any question you have. I trust his judgments.

I had a total knee replacement November 28, 2018, Dr Chmell is an excellent surgeon, he explained everything and took the time to answer all my questions. I highly recommend him, he may be a man of few words but he's the best surgeon and I trust him totally. I am very happy with my knee replacement and you will be too. His PA Jason and all his staff are awesome and very helpful.

Dr Chmell is an amazing knee surgeon! I had a Total Knee Replacement in October 2017. I could not have asked for better attention from him and his team at OrthoIllinois.My results have been better than I could have imagined. I am a 62 year old woman who never anticipated I would have to go through this type of surgery at an "early" age. I am having my other knee replaced in January 2018 and I am certain I'll receive the great care again. No hesitation in referring Dr Chmell & team????????

Very pleased with my knee replacement. Had the other knee done by another Doctor 10 years ago and the results aren't even close. I am so far ahead of recovery schedule with this one. After 6 weeks, I actually have four more degrees of range than my other knee! The surgeon does an awesome job. A man of few words. He does it with his hands. Thank you Dr. Chmell.

I had heard Dr. Chmell was the best around and I can now personally attest to that. He explained to process thoroughly and had great patient care. I went through post-op with minimal pain or any complications. I would highly recommend Dr. Chmell to anyone
