It’s hard to believe, but Dr. Gallizzi truly brought me back to real life. I can’t remember the last time I was able to play badminton, tennis, run, and do CrossFit without back pain. But in April, he performed a spinal fusion surgery on me. And today, just six months later, I won the World Championship Spartan Race in my age group. It’s simply incredible! After the surgery, I fully recovered and haven’t felt any pain since. I feel like I’m 20 again! Huge thanks to Dr. Gallizzi and his entire team! They bring back the joy of life!!!

Dr Gallizzi is a gifted surgeon with a patient centric focus. He fixed multiple complex back issues and brought my active life back to me.

Hands down, the best spine surgeon. Dr. Gallizzi did my S1 to L5 spinal fusion. I had seen countless other surgeons in Colorado and beyond. Dr. Gallizzi is the best by far. He is an excellent choice for athletes and understood my need to come back fast and strong. He is incredibly involved in the spinal industry and is instrumental in some of the major advancements in the industry right now including cutting edge technology in robotics and stem cells. He had me back to normal in over half the time faster than any other surgeon. I work in the medical device industry so I had the luxury of getting some “insider” information… there is no one advancing spinal surgery like Dr. Gallizzi. I am so thankful for the opportunity to have him as my surgeon. I am about six months out from my surgery and I will be competing in a 55K Nordic ski race in a few weeks and a 40 mile ski race in April. Feeling better than ever!

I live out-of-state and I saught many neurologists and orthopedic surgeons in my state, to fix my 3 level spinal cord fusion and severe cervical compression. Not one doctor was able to give me a positive prognosis. I met Dr. Gallizzi and he gave me his assessment and a most wonderful prognosis. With his caring nature and positive attitude, his excellence in this field, along with his knowledge and confidence, I said yes, please fix me. Before I met with Dr. Gallizzi I was terrified of what was to come and dismayed at the options I had been given up to that point, by other doctors. The surgery was a huge success. Dr. Gallizzi performed a fusion surgery from L4-S1 for me 5 years ago, and the results have been outstanding! From recovery through today, this has been the best experience I've ever had with surgery, and I can't possibly say enough good things about Dr. Gallizzi!

OMG!!!! were do I start this man is Amazing not all Heros were capes and he is my Hero , I had back pain from a surgery that failed before I went to Dr Gallizzi . He took the time to listen to me and took the time to give me the best option to fix my back for over a year I keep telling the doctor who did the last surgery there was something wrong but he woulden't listen he sent me to a pain doctor instead of trying to find out why so I found Dr. Gallizzi and he did everything he could to find out why, and found that my rods were not put in right and was hitting a nerve that was causing the chronic Pain I am 56 yrs old and been to many doctors and Dr. Gallizzi is the only one who cares about his patients and treats them with care and respect I cant tell you how much I appreciate Dr.Gallizzi and thank God for bring him into my life , I would encourage anyone in need of back issues to see him he is the best of the best .

I have seen several doctors regarding my back issues, Dr Gallizzi is the first one to really explain my problems. He performed a robotic ablation to buy me some time. Due to other health concerns i can't have the fusion that I really need . Both Dr. Gallizzi and Adam spend an incredible amount of time with you. I feel totally confident and have referred several people to him. I couldn't have more confidence in him..... he's the best.

Dr. Gallizzi performed a neck fusion on me. I had very little pain or discomfort after surgery and some long term issues were completely resolved. I recommend Dr. Gallizzi to anyone with spinal issues.

Dr. Gallizzi is both knowledgeable and communicates well with patients. He displays great empathy, along with his PA.

I went to Dr. Gallizzi for a second opinion. He had my scans, however, the first question he asked me was "What is your story?" From that point on he listened, was empathic and began to educate me about what the tests were showing. I realized how much I didn't know and understand from my original consult with another doc. Dr. G was patient with me and seemed to understand my worries/anxiety about the results. He prescribed some meds for inflammation/pain and told me to take time thinking through what we had discussed. I met 2 more times with Adam (PA) and Dr. G. and they answered all of my questions. I now feel I am informed about every aspect of my options/treatment. The overall impact of my experience with Dr. G is one of trust and it is clear from reviews that other patients feel similarly. I am appreciative!

I was very anxious at my first appt with Dr. Gallizzi in Oct 2019 to see what he recommended for my ailing neck. Within the first five minutes of the visit, I was already at ease. He spent a lot of time explaining my MRI and x-rays and patiently answered any questions I had. One of his statements that really stuck with me was: “I treat the patient, not the picture." He used helpful analogies when explaining many of the medical terms. He is calm, caring, confident, compassionate, skilled, and has a great sense of humor. I met with him three more times before I was ready to have the 2-level ACDF surgery, which I had in May 2020. I was at ease leading up to my surgery because I was so confident in his abilities. He prepared me very well for the recovery. I am almost ten months post-op and my neck is doing great. I am working out, hiking, running, and skiing. I highly recommend Dr. Gallizzi to anyone needing spine care. He is fantastic....a skilled and gifted surgeon.

Before my surgery Dr. Gallizzi and Heather Duncan spent hours explaining and reassuring myself and my husband of the technical and psychological aspects that were involved. I had suffered for over six years with a bone tumor and previous surgeries that were less than optimal to treat my condition. Agreeing to the surgery was very scary for us, but our trust was not misplaced. My pain has lessened to the point that I have very little need for narcotics (for the first time in SIX years!) I highly recommend Dr. Gallizzi!

I am grateful for Dr. Gallizzi and Heather Duncan. Together, they have changed my life for the better! I have had ongoing issues with my previous L5-S1 fusion for several years and was referred to Dr. Gallizzi. Dr. Gallizzi took the time review my CT himself and diagnosed what was causing my pain, cramping, and weakness. Both him and Heather spent a great deal of time discussing the surgery and answering all questions and concerns I had. After surgery I had immediate relief and six weeks out have yet to have any cramping or pain. I am already moving much better than before the surgery and my recovery has been easy. Both Dr. Gallizzi and Heather’s bedside manner, genuine caring personalities and surgical skills are truly amazing. I would highly recommend Dr. Gallizzi and to anyone who has to have spine surgery.

I visited Dr. Gallizzi in April of 2019 for an ongoing issue with my cervical spine. I had some herniations, some narrowing of the foramen and degenerative disc disease at C4-C6. Fought surgery for 9 years until I found Dr. G! He is a top notch surgeon with a heart of gold! His entire staff is fantastic, but he and his PA Heather are an un unstoppable healing team! I went from being severely debilitated at just 45 to feeling like a kid again! They are caring, thorough, transparent and Dr. Gallizzi is the most gifted surgeon! He did an ACDF at those two levels and I could not be more pleased with my results. I am only 3 months post op today, so I still have more recovery for the full outcome, but I would recommend Dr. G to anyone needing spine surgery. I am moving out of CO, but if I ever needed spine surgery again, for another issue, I would not hesitate to fly back and recover in CO to have Dr. G and Heather on my side!

Mike and Heather make an exceptional surgical team. I followed Mike from Porter because of his strong medical beliefs and convictions. He is a true professional with extraordinary surgical expertise and skills. In all of my pre surgery meetings with Mike I would always first meet with Heather. She was so helpful, honest and forthright with what to expect regarding my surgical procedures, expectations and recovery. This team is a kind, caring and skilled pair and I highly recommend them.

I saw Dr. Gallizzi in the spring of 2017, suffering from extreme pain. Dr. Gallizzi worked closely with my cardiologist to ensure my safety for the double spinal fusion I underwent in June of 2017. After just 10 days, my pain was gone! I followed his post surgery instructions closely for the next 3 months, and I’m happy to report that after a year, I am still pain free and back to doing all normal activities. Questions & phone calls were promptly answered by his friendly office staff & himself.
