not available to patients
I need to ask a question. the telephone recording directed me to Lisa. I now call her "hateful Lisa".She informed me that Dr. Romig only talks doctor to doctor. and if I made any decisions on my own, it was on me, not him. When I read Dr.Romigs write up about himself, he stated he wanted to treat his patients like he would want his family treated. Really, Dr Romig is this the way you want your family treated. Me and my insurance pay your salary, not other doctors.

I was a patient of Dr. Romig when he practiced in Hendersonville, NC and found him to be an exceptionally caring medical professional. Three days before I was to have surgery for occular cancer, the anesthesiology department at the Duke eye center was demanding detailed information about my heart (I have a pacemaker) or would not allow the operation to go forward. Dr. Romig was out of town, but his office called him and, on his computer in his hotel room that night, he sent all the info they were demanding. It turned out the cancer was very fast-moving and I ended up with 2 operations in one month. Had Dr. Romig not been so quick and thorough in his response, the operations would have been delayed and I feel certain that I would not be cancer-free as I am today, and probably wouldn’t even be here. Needless to say, I was very unhappy when he left his Hendersonville practice.

Dr. Romig listens and makes one feel as though he cares. He is thorough in his examinations and ordered extra exams when needed. I feel quite confident when he treats me for life-threatening issues. For your records, Dr. Romig is now practicing at Hendersonville Cardiology in Hendersiville, NC.
