I was misdiagnosed by other ENT doctors. Dr Stamm proved they were wrong. Been seeing him since 2013.

Poor atmosphere
Although, the doctor was overall knowledgable and kind. The entire office atmosphere at Berkshire Ear nose and throat was disturbing. The manager came to the front desk and was yelling with curse words to the staff. I am suprised this office can keep staff. Just schedule a visit with a different ear, nose and throat office until management is improved.

If I could have given him less stars I would have. The first red flag was his staff asking if it was okay to reschedule because he was having car trouble. Then he did it again for the rescheduled date. This time I said I'd wait for him in the waiting room, no matter how long it took for him to get there. He arrived an hour late to perform the myringotomy and what ensued next was a botch job. After telling me the only pain I'd feel would be a slight pinch from the local anesthetic and everything after would be completely painless. After he made the incision he saw that there wasn't any fluid trapped like he thought and asked ME if he should proceed! I said yes out of desperation, but quickly regretted that decision when he yanked on my eardrum for 15 minutes struggling to insert the tube, causing me a lot of pain! His hands were shaking afterwords. Now I just found out Stamm cancelled my 5-week followup without staff notifying me! I used it as an opportunity to request a new doctor.

If I could give this practice 0 stars, I would. I walked out of having seen Dr. Stamm feeling more cast aside and devalued than I ever have in my life. I have had a complex history with Lyme disease and have residual symptoms that leave me feeling like I cannot breath or swallow. Rather than assessing the problem like an intelligent doctor, willing to help his patients, Dr. Stamm pegged me before he even walked into the room - young, female, complaining of Lyme Disease (which very few western practice doctors have even a touch of understanding about), and a hypochondriac. He was completely disinterested in hearing about my medical history, told me it was all in my head, and that I should be a less anxious person and could benefit from drinking more water. I am a very healthy person and take excellent care of myself, mind you. Dr. Stamm had no desire to be helpful and after asking follow up questions of him and being shown that he had no understanding of what I needed and was complainin

1 star is 1 too many. Saw him with my child at Cheshire Med in NH. Waited a very long time only to be dismissed by him. After being referred to him by our trusted audiologist for my child having an 'alarming loss of hearing' in 1 ear, he sent us on our way to let it sort itself out & come back in 6 weeks. My kid had tubes once & was delayed b/c of initial hearing issues. I'm not willing to have him regress or have hearing loss. Dr. Stamm does not seem to have the patients best interest at heart

I have been treated since 2013 by Dr. Stamm and could not be more pleased with attention and competence. I require a delicate treatment in my left ear which was damaged by radiation as part of cancer therapy and Dr. Stamm has consistently provided relief from the pain and impaired hearing from the constant crusting in my ear channel.

It has been a true pleasure to meet this extremely competent provider. He and his staff are true professionals in every aspect of healthcare. Dr. Stamm was integral in the diagnosis of my cancer after several other doctors examined and were perplexed. I am truly sorry and very saddened that circumstances have forced him to move further away. I will miss him, and wish nothing but success for him in the future.

I arrive on time for my appt. but they had me waiting 50 minutes before starting the procedure-which they also cut short. I found him to me aloof and curt.

Dr. Stamm contradicted my family practitioner's diagnosis and advice, did not listen to my concerns, and was walking out of the room when I ventured to ask a question and the nurse had to get his attention to have him hear my question. He didn't smile or behave with the concern I would hope a physician would have when a patient has come for specific advice about a chronic problem. There was no interest at all indicated in his manner. Frustrating.

While Dr.Stamm may be a good diagnostician, he has little empathy for the patient. He is clinical and direct with his information, but did not take into account my psychological needs. Take it or leave it, is what I walked away from him with. Science can offer me little to resolve the problem except patience and time, but some understanding of what I have been experiencing would have been much appreciated.
