BEWARE OF HIDDEN CHARGES The financial agreement that this office makes you sign says "We request that you give our office 24-hour notice in the event that you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee of $20" In reality, it's not a request; it's a requirement. It's not a possible charge; it's a definite charge. No second chances if you are a new patient to the office and unfamiliar with how they operate. Instead of punishing the patient when they weren't fully aware of the "rules", how about sending an email, phone message, or text asking the patient to confirm the appointment the day before? Many businesses do this now. If they say no or don't confirm, tell them you are canceling their appointment. The end goal is the same, and you avoid upsetting your patient and losing your patient to a different care provider. Good care at this office just not fair business practices.

I was handed information regarding what a bunion and Taylor’s bunion is. I already knew this information, because I looked it up before I went to the doctor. Obviously, that’s why I made the appointment, to get further answers, suggestions to help, and or treatment. But no, that’s not what I got. Instead the answer I got was “ Not to sound rude, but I don’t care whether you get the surgery or not. That’s your decision, I just need to know what you want to do.” How does that help anyone?? I wouldn’t recommend Dr. Vaardahl at all, it was a waste of my time and money.
