Dr. Michella Switzer, DO

I am deeply disappointed with my recent visit to Lilac. My appointment was scheduled with Dr. Switzer, but I never actually met the doctor. Instead, her assistant conducted a very brief five-minute intake session and handled the paperwork. To make matters worse, I was charged $250 for this minimal service.I expected a thorough consultation with the doctor, as is standard in any medical practice. I understand that initial intake assessments are sometimes conducted by staff, but I anticipated a direct consultation with Dr. Switzer as part of the service for which I was charged. For the amount charged, I believe a proper evaluation and consultation with the doctor were warranted. I have reached out to the clinic to discuss this issue, but the billing department dimissed my concern.

1000 characters won’t do me much justice here. Dr Switzer lied in her post operative reports about risks of my D&C procedure due to missed miscarriage. She did not go over the risks she claimed to have discussed with me, and the end result was very traumatic for me. I used her through Lilac Obgyn.

She's amazing. I did not think that I could have kids due to being over 35. She gave great referrals, which resulted in me getting pregnant. In addition, she considered my allergies, conditions, and preference to not use medications when providing me a reproductive endocrinologist. I'm happy to now be pregnant and working with her again. She and her staff are always quick and efficient in their responses via their online portal. I highly recommend her and an maybe not giving her as glowing of review as I have felt.

Dr. Switzer was the doctor assigned you my induction. After 3 days of labor and no progress, my labor stalled and she had no plan for what to do next. She didn’t want to perform a c-section on me because I was overweight. She put my life and the life of my baby at tremendous risk with her inability to do her job and take care of her patients. The result was an emergency c-section followed by a massive infection, necrotizing fasciitis (flesh-eating bacteria), my baby being born blue and unresponsive, 2 months in the hospital and 8 subsequent surgeries to clear the infection from my c-section incision.
