My first review was stellar, I thought I had found a winner. After 2 appointments and back and forth on my chart I realize this is not the case. Signing up with a new provider. Very disappointed with her lack of care.

Teases with meds, naming them & then refuses
Dr. Mackenzie wants to protect her license rather than help the patient with necessary medication. She names medications and then says she won't prescribe them due to my other medications. She referred me to a psychiatrist (Dr. Goulesin) and who approved the medications that I am currently taking for depression. I have extreme pain due to osteoarthritis in my left hip (that needs replacing) and my L5-S1 sacralization and bilateral sciatica. She teases and seems happy then to refuse giving the prescription. I have extreme pain which she addresses as not necessary. My prior physician knew all about my pains and appropriately prescribed needed medications

I have tried to go to multiple, probably 4, other doctors for the exact same reason. Dr. MacKenzie listened to me carefully, asked questions without judgement, was receptive to my story/needs/wants, and took the course that I have been asking for from other doctors for years the first time. I left feeling seen and heard, which is helping me to feel like I can actually solve my health problems and come back to her for more help rather than judgement/run around like I've experienced from others.

Dr. Mackenzie was very thorough for intake as a new patient for her. She took the time to ask important questions and follow-up. It was clear from her manor that she cares about her patients health and choices, and welcomes patient involvement and questions regarding any care planned. I felt very comfortable and pleased with her manor and knowledge.

Dr. MacKenzie
My first visit with Dr. MacKenzie went really well. She took the time to get to know me, and she listened and responded in ways that allowed me to feel confident that she is kind, knowledgeable, and extremely competent.

Dr. Mackenzie was the first doctor who took the time to make me feel heard with zero judgement, which was such a relief as I was there for mental health. She had amazing recommendations and explained everything in detail. Best doctor I've ever seen!
