Dr Michelle Murphy is an extremely intelligent & empathetic doctor. She truly does care about her patients & is NEVER dismissive about any question or concern. Yes, as another review mentioned, she is a resident but the individual in the former review should ask these types of questions themselves when making a decision about their healthcare needs. This hospital IS a teaching hospital. Regardless of how long she has been in residency, she is beyond what any “newbie” doctor displays since I have been a patient at this office for nearly 15 years. I was concerned I was transitioning to another resident before I became Dr Michelle Murphy’s patient, but after one visit I had wished she was my psychiatrist years ago. Dr Michelle Murphy is an asset to this office and I am blessed to receive care from her. She does not sit there nodding & saying “aha” (yes I have experienced this w/other doctors here) She not only listens but collaborates with me to make achievable goals. BEST Dr hands down!

She has not completed her training in psychology. She is a resident. The office staff does not make this clear. The office staff is polite but NEVER goes the extra mile to be helpful. AMG is a large medical group owned by Advocate Healthcare and this is reflected in the office staff and physicians need to fall back on “office protocols.” Every person is not treated as a unique individual but just another person walking through their doors. I have a number of family members who receive care at this office due to insurance limitations. Dr Michele Murphy has made a number of medication errors with one family member, doesn’t work with patients regarding forms without extra, and in my opinion, unnecessary, office visits, and in general doesn’t listen well.
