Dr. Miles Gresham, MD

My 87 year old mother is a patient of Dr Miles Gresham. She had an episode last year with internal bleeding and we called 911 to take her to the hospital. She had lost so much blood she couldn't move. It was discovered that she had a ruptured vein in her colon that he clamped. In the last 3.5 weeks mom has spent 8 days in the hospital having 3 units after a colonoscopy, then she was released and sent home still bleeding. She became so weak she fell and 911 was called again. The next day I took her to the hospital ER and she was so white in her face, arms, legs everyone thought she was about to pass out. She was admitted to receive 4 units of blood and stayed 6 days. They did an endoscopy and she swallowed the tiny camera. She was released to come home on Wed, still bleeding and was told Dr Gresham would contact her Fri to tell her the findings. But guess what? Fri was the 5th of July and while everyone was enjoying the cookouts and a long weekend, mom is bleeding feeling weaker and is scared. I have to say nothing about the care she has received so far screams professionalism, compassion, or concern. No wonder I totally mistrust doctors. They give me no reason to feel differently.

Had irc series Dr. Gresham was fabulous. Good bed side manners.

I went to see Dr. Gresham for a second opinion on gastroparesis. While I was making my appointment, I was not informed that he only did colonoscopies in Gardendale and at St. Vincent's East. Although I respect the credentials of a CRNP, I do prefer to be evaluated by a doctor each visit or at least every other visit. But in four visits, I never met Dr. Gresham. The gastric emptying study was done in a very worn down area of St. Vincent's East. But the greatest concern is that his office is ran by his CRNP.

My initial visit at Dr. Gresham's office was handled by Danielle Blackard, so this review is for her as I have not yet met Dr. Gresham. I really appreciated the friendly atmosphere along with the professionalism displayed by Danielle. She seemed very knowledgeable and efficient and I could not have had a better experience on my first visit. I would also like to mention Donna who did the initial interview with me, getting my basic information and health history. She was very nice and created a friendly, but professional atmosphere. I could not have had a better experience with all the people, including the lab tech, that I came into contact with.

In 2003, Dr. Gresham found colon cancer in my Trans colon. He called me in his office and helped prepare me for a recommended surgeon. Mine was Stage 1 but after the surgery I decided to have Chem from Dr. Kent Tucker. I go for a regular colonoscopy every 3 years and have had no sign of any cancer reoccurring. I have been cancer free for over 16 years thanks to a great Urologist named Dr. Miles Gresham.

Loved Dr. Gresham and staff. He performed my first coloscopyand eased all my fears prior to. His team is clean and efficient.

I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Gresham!! I needed a colonoscopy ASAP for a terrible flare with my UC and Dr. Gresham and his excellent staff team were able to get me in ASAP. Dr. Gresham also allowed me to do the PREPOPIK prep which is the one w/least amt of liquid to drink!! Dr. Gresham from the get go had an aggressive plan to get this beast under control and prescribed things I had not tried before. So thankful for his expertise and years of experience. Outstanding office staff and nurses!!

I had been to two other and with my mother to another gastroenterologist and none where as competent, pofessional, and yet personable as Dr. Gresham is. Additionally, he used two products to help me before my colonoscopy that I had NEVER heard of before. They worked great! I didn't have any nausea, cramping, and I didn't stay in the bathroom all night. I was asleep by 10. I was scheduled for the tests at St. Vincent's East they were very professional and nice. Well organized and CLEAN!

would recommend Dr. Gresham to anyone who needs a gastroenterologist. He is very professional and very through and very compassionate. The office personal and nurses are outstanding.

He needs to learn how to treat patients and listen to them. My mom has been having trouble and all he wants to do is send her for test after test instead of listening to her and trying to treat her stomach issues. He has horrible patient care skills.
