Short review: SHE WILL NOT LISTEN SHE WILL REFER YOU INSTEAD OF HAVING A CONVERSATION THIS WILL BE HANDSDOWN THE WORST EXPERIENCE YOU WILL HAVE. I never leave reviews but this was by far the WORST experience of my life! Long Review: I met with Dr. Padilla for a plethora of issues. This was a serious appointment and after meeting with my neurologist and being sick for months. I was SO disappointed when I began explaining everything and Dr. Padilla referred me to half the state of Utah instead of listening to me and having a conversation. She also instructed me to stop taking a medication that stops the growth of my benign brain tumor. She never gave me the instructions of how to taper off the medication and our appointment was only 10 mins instead of 40! She was careless, dismissive, and unfeeling. She laughed at one point at my symptoms! When I left the clinic and filed a report to a different clinic I was referred to a clinic that doesn't exist and she sent an empty record!

Definitely not
Didn’t listen to my symptoms. Didn’t address my reason for coming. Repeatedly asked if i wanted referrals for other things I didn’t need or want. Complete ambivalence for me as a person. I can’t believe the amount of disregard as a patient and absolutely no empathy or path forward to help. I left feeling unseen, unheard, hopeless and frustrated. And all this after waiting 6 weeks to get in. Do not waste your time or money.

ask for another referral
As a caretaker, I take my parents to literally hundreds of doctor appointments. Half of those are through the VA and everyone is aware of their reputation. Dr. Padilla's office in Provo was hands down the worst experience we have ever had. Ask for a referral somewhere else.

Save your $300+. Pick someone else.
I don't often leave reviews, but having a good endo is important! I waited 3 months to even see her and explained my partner and I were contemplating pregnancy which was the main reason I was there (aside from the standard check in). She told me I was on a complicated medication regimen and then did nothing about it. She also told me I would need to make adjustments to my meds if I did get pregnant. When I expressed concern about the change, she moved onto a different topic without educating me or addressed my concerns. And then, at the end of the appointment, she asked if I wanted weight loss medication. Um... ok thanks for the subtle hint you think I'm overweight....Who would ask someone trying to get pregnant if they want weight meds??? I've never had such a bad healthcare experience and that is really saying something since I've had a LOT of care. Save your money. Look elsewhere.

She started out really well and her staff was amazing. Commutation was timely and positive. In the past two years several people have left and they've gone downhill. They no longer communicate with insurance or omedical equipment providers. I've been trying for over a month to to recieve Diabetes supplies with absolutely no explanation or communication from the Drs. office or nurse. With COVID everyone is afraid and medical treatment is getting harder to recieve. What was every 3 mo. is now every 6 mo. or more and A1c tracking doesn't work that way. The damage is being done.

Not recommended at all. My initial visit with her was very positive & helpful, but then every visit after that was terrible. She did not listen to me, AT ALL. She always had a checklist of questions to ask me each visit, & my questions or concerns meant nothing to her. I told her about a serious medical issue I was having, & she responded by asking if I needed a Rx for a sharps container - I'm not kidding, typical experience. She once asked me if I was interested in a Rx that combined 2 of the meds I was taking into one tablet. That was all she asked. I said yes. I did some research on the med she prescribed, & it was NOT a replacement for the meds I was taking, & was very expensive. Once I got a call from a medical center to schedule an MRI of my pituitary gland she had requested - but she never discussed with me a concern regarding my pituitary, nor an MRI. I called her several times to ask what her concern was, & never got a response. Positive note - her staff is fantastic.

After being in her office for two years, last January, 2020, I got all of five minutes of her time. I wasn't able to ask questions. Then 10 days days later, I received a prescription in the mail for something we had never talked about! Imagine my surprise when I was charged over $60 for it! Don't know what's happening. Meh. She ran extensive blood work that other doctors wouldn't, but when it came back with nothing, she sort of dropped me. I haven't heard back or had any follow up. I feel like since there was nothing obvious in the blood work, she wasn't willing to go the extra step to find out what IS wrong. There is clearly something very wrong. I was prescribed medication that I have already taken twice before and told her 1. didn't work and 2. didn't want. She overrode that choice and prescribed it anyway.

Dr. Padilla and her assistant Darla are great. One of the most thorough appointments I have ever had with a physician. I'm very pleased.

She didn't take the time to even find out why I was there. I saw her for a whole of 5 minutes where she spoke quickly with little pauses. I could barely get a word in edgewise. I tried to interrupt her monologue, but she overrode me and told me to get blood work done and she'd see me in FIVE months.

Dr. Padilla has accomplished in two visits what 10 years of other endocrinologists could not. After an extensive list of lab tests and been performed, she called me with results. She started to treat the problems immediately. I am extremely grateful to have finally found a doctor that will help me get the results I need and want.

Worst doctor/patient experience I've ever had. Ordered a myriad of tests and said she would call me to discuss the results. Over a month later, still nothing. She prescribed medication but had no samples to get me started. Over a month later I'm still without the medication; her office is aware of the problem, yet I've heard nothing from Dr. Padilla. If I'm not paying for her care and concern, what am I paying for?

Dr. Padilla has been a tremendous help in controlling my type II diabetes without resorting to insulin. Being morbidly obese, I've lost almost 50 pounds in 5 months while under her care. I recommend Dr. Padilla to anyone needing a diabetic specialist.

Within an hour of arriving at Dr. Padilla's office, I had a script sent in for test strips, a continuous glucose monitor ordered, an eye doctor appointment, blood work completed, a mammogram ordered, an A1C completed and diabetes education classes set up. Within a few days Dr. Padilla called me with test results. She is thorough, professional, friendly and has a great staff. I can say this without hesitation: I have never had such a great experience with an endocrinologist.
