My husband was referred to Doc. Dahrouj in an emergency situation after what should have been routine repair of a partially detached retina, gone wrong. We are so fortunate to have been connected with Doc. Dahrouj. Visit one, emergency surgery ASAP. While this is a teaching hospital he performed the intricate Vitrectomy himself. The level of expertise and care that he took with my husband is priceless. A membrane formed and another laser surgery was performed . It was said many times that the integrity of the retina is first priority. Let me say this has been a long bumpy road for my husband. Losing vision in an eye is quite devastating. Because of the original surgery NOT performed by Dr. Dahrouj my husband's site has been compromised for the rest of his life. Dr. Dahrouj has been kind, thoughtful of my husbands emotions throughout this process and continues to work towards saving what vision he will eventually end up with. My words alone do not due justice to his professionalism.
