Worst Doctor I’ve Ever Encountered
I saw Dr. Zietz numerous times for “IBS” and was assured it was only “IBS”. About a year after seeing her, I was at the hospital with colitis. I was told I needed to follow up with her immediately as they suspected my IBS was actually IBD. Dr. Zietz looked at the imaging and labs and told me it can’t be IBD, you’re not anemic. She scheduled scopes EIGHT weeks later. They were “normal” I told her I wanted to explore further or get some type of treatment, she told me there’s nothing to treat and I should take a probiotic. Long story short and another GI, I have crohns in my small intestine. They were shocked she allowed my abnormal liver values go without investigation, they thought I had a liver disease and I needed special imaging. There were a few blood markers that gave clues that she ignored. Small bowel crohns is harder to find but she didn’t bother to check my terminal ileum or even begin to consider shutting her mouth and listening. I will never forgive her, I suffered for years!

the absolute best
Dr Zeitz was a very professional and caring doctor she listened to all my problems with my gerd and helped me get it under control. I have been to three GI doctors before her and SHE US THE ONLY ONE WHO WOULDN'T GIVE UP ON ME AND GETTING MY GERD UNDER CONTROL. She is my saving grace n I seriously don't know what I would do without her and all the never give up personality she has and demonstrates. If u are looking for A ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL NEVER TAKE NO FOR A ANSWER N ONE WHO WOULDN'T GIVE UP till a solution is found then honestly go see her YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. I would give more then 5 stars if I could.

Dr. Zeitz is an amazing doctor who cares and listens! My case is a complicated one and not cut and dry. Although I went to her for GI symptoms, she knew so much about autoimmune and is extremely knowledgeable beyond just the traditional scope of GI issues and looks at the whole picture. She follows up immeadiately with any test results, and is very responsive to questions and doesn’t dismiss your thoughts and suggestions as the patient. So glad I found her. I have hope that she will be a huge part in helping rule things out and get to the bottom of things!

I cannot recommend Monica Zeitz. In our first meeting, she was condescending. She jumped to a possible diagnosis based on some but not all of my symptoms. She ordered tests without explaining what she thought she might find or what they could indicate. Immediately after my biopsy, I had to ask a LOT of questions to get her to lay out what was possibly wrong with me. She broke the news that I had celiac disease (a significant life-changing diagnosis) with an impersonal electronic message that I needed to avoid wheat, rye, and barley. And to follow up with a discussion in her office. That was it. The soonest I could follow up with her was TEN WEEKS later. That's a long time to go without any advice from your physician. She left me feeling that my health and well-being were not at all important to her. I'm fine, because I can find the answers I need, but I worry about other patients who might depend on her alone to solve their problems.

Dr. Zeitz is an excellent Doctor. I highly recommend her. She took the time with me at my appointment. When I had my first colon and found that I had a cancerous polyp, she guided me every step of the way. She has been voted as one of the Top Doctors. There is no question in my mind that she is one of the most caring doctors that I have met.

Dr. Zeitz was about her patients when she first became a doctor. She's all for prescribing medicine before running any tests. I called several times and asked to speak to the doctor, but a representative kept calling me back recommending me to take over the counter or prescription medicines. I went to my family doctor and she ordered tests and found that I had a more serious problem. I have found another gastro doctor that listens and will run many tests until he's able to get to the bottom.

I had an appointment for almost two months. I called the day before my appointment to confirm and make sure I was going to the right office. When I got there at 8:25am they told me to sit down and they would call me when they were ready. They called me at 8:40. They told me I was over a half hour late. I explained that my appointment was for 8:30 and that I confirmed it the night before. I was told to fill out all the paper work and they would call me again. At 9 am they told me I had to resched

Dr. Zeitz claims to treat patients as she would like to be treated and she did! Her PA, Jen Zone, did not return my phone call (I called for 5 days in a row with a question). The day before my prep, I drove to the facility to get my question answered. Then, on the day of the procedure, I learned from another patient (a Medicare patient like myself) that he was given his prep kit. Jen Zones prescribed a kit for which I had to pay $86. I'd recommend Dr. Zeitz but not her PA!!!

Dr. Zeitz performed 2 procedures on me 4 years ago, and was outstanding. So much so, that I'm scheduled for another procedure, and I live in St. Louis, Missouri, and I'm driving back to Pennsylvania just to see her again. Excellent Doctor !

Walked a woman before me to the window and chatted with her there for a while, then took a patient who wasn't scheduled, ahead of me and spent half an hour with him. After making me wait 45 minutes she spent 15 minutes with me and basically told me I could show myself out. Bedside manner? It stinks.
