Worst Experience Ever
This man performed an EGD on me on 923 and told me I could return to work the next day. 924 I was sick out of my mind, still unsure what was going on with me. 925 I’m in the ER with shortness of breath, nausea, throwing up and having hot flashes. 926 his office diagnosed me ( after the er did the day before) and finally gave me medication. 928 back in the emergency room for dehydration and vomiting. 930 I called the office to let them know that I’m still not feeling well and that I think the medicine is too strong. I was told that a message would be sent to the doctor and they’ll call me back. 1001 they called me back and said they couldn’t fill out my FMLA forms because my primary doctor has to do that! What are we even talking about? If you want to go to a doctor who does not care he’s your guy! The staff included are only there for a paycheck NEVER EVER AGAIN! Worst experience of my life, oh yeah it’s day 9 without food or a bowel movement.

I really like Dr. Kumar but getting in to see him when you have an issue is impossible. The wait in the office is outrageous and his staff is not friendly or caring. When I have an issue I should be able to see my doctor in a reasonable amount of time not months out. It is upsetting and scary to not be able to be seen when you are sick and it could be something life threatening.

Have had numerous visits. Each one less than 2 minutes. Very sick now due to time wasted and lack of care by this doctor. Orders one test or med then schedules your next visit six weeks to two months later. After nine months disease has progressed to the point that is now very serious. Going to go somewhere else now. Hoping it isn't too late for me. Posting dishonest reviews can cost people their lives.

After years of seeing other doctors and not finding a solution for what I now know is IBS I saw Dr. Kumar. He listened to my issues which had become embarrassing after so many attempts with other physicians. He made me very comfortable and explained what we needed to do to find what was wrong. He was able to pinpoint the problem and get me on the correct medication very quickly. After years of struggling with this, I am able to live my life without incident. I could not be more thankful. His staff is efficient and if you talk with them they are kind and friendly. I felt Dr. Kumar was committed to finding the right treatment for me after he heard my family history and he did.

I just love Dr. Kumar. I had been seen at other gastrologists for up to 40 years and not one of them helped me with my diarrhea that I had every day. But Dr. Kumar hit the nail on the head when I started going to see him. He said I had pancreatic insufficiency. He gave me prescriptions to completely stop the diarrhea. I thank him from the bottom of my heart.

I have had two procedures done with Dr. Kumar and he is a very kind, caring doctor. He strives to make sure you understand what is going on and listens to all your concerns or questions. His staff is excellent and wait times in his office (Dyer, IN) are not very long. Dr. Kumar has also treated my 92 yr. old mother, who was very ill and he gave her the utmost care and she is now doing well. I would highly recommend Dr. Kumar!!

Many people have Dr. phobias or just don't like going to the doctor. Dr. Kumar has a very good bed side manner, asks questions about your health, and listens to what you have to say. You can tell that he enjoys his work and cares about his patients. I found out after my visit that a good friend and sister have also been a patient of his and both gave positive feedback. I would definitely recommend him.

After 5+ years of having digestive issues and having no answers from doctors, I finally came to Dr. Kumar. After my first appointment, we had a procedural plan, and within the following month I was finally diagnosed, prescribed medication, and feeling NORMAL again. I haven't felt normal in years, it is an amazing feeling. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kumar to anyone struggling with GI issues

After having two painful colonoscopies, I put it off for over 11 years. I also needed to have my first endoscopy. My husband highly recommended Dr. Kumar. The Doctor reassured me that I would not experience any discomfort during the procedures. He kept his word. The anesthesiologist gave me a drug that completely put me under. I felt nothing! Don't procrastinate like I did. These are important screenings. See Dr. Kumar. You'll be happy you did. He's really nice, and has a great bedside manner!

Dr Kumar is great. However, I can not say the same for his office staff. On more than one occasion the staff has not responded or followed through with multiple messages that were left regarding urgent medical concerns. The only way I found to actually get to speak with a person was to say you need to make an appointment. It is very frustrating. Don’t try to get ahold of this Dr before, during or after hours cause it is not going to happen. Answering service does not even work.
