Dr. Nicoleta Sora, MD

Was told I had Graves disease, though she kept telling me "you have no symptoms, why do you not have symptoms"? She insisted I have the radioactive Iodine therapy and basically I let her scare me into it. I had no health issues before then and now have so many. When you read the symptom list for Graves disease..I had not one of them. When all the side effects of induced hypothyroidism hit me and I talked to her repeatedly ( begged) for help, she said "your thyroid levels are normal". She just didn't want to hear about it. I suffered weight gain that I can't lose, no matter how I try. I am so heat intolerant, I sweat at 67 degrees. Horribly dry, itchy skin, much of my hair has fallen out....and I was told.."your levels are perfect". I gave up and am searching for a new endocrinologist

Dr. Sora is kind and very informative. She lets you know exactly what is going on and what measures to take for correction is needed. I think she is a very special person

Dr. Sora is thorough, thoughtful, patient and articulate. Fully communicates recommendations, answers questions and coordinates treatment and care with my other MUSC physicians.

Claims that my thyroid lab results were normal when they were at the very bottom of the test range or less than one tenth a decimal point away from the bottom of the test range. I have classic hypothyroid symptoms and yet she refuses to do anything to help me. I do NOT recommend seeing her.
