One foot out the door. Literally.
I was hospitalized for neurological issues. Eye pin, muscle spasms, tremors, etc. my neurologist at UChicago has been working me up for a rare neuro condition that Dr. Nadkarni said he wasn’t super familiar with. He refused to call my neurologist, despite my neuro telling me to ask him to. He clearly didn’t do any research on this condition, he didn’t want to continue IV steroids even though they were helping, he didn’t want to do a lumbar puncture because the imaging was negative despite having symptoms. He didn’t even want to stay in the room long enough for me to go over my symptoms. I work in health care. I know how to summarize. He just had one foot out the door the whole time. I was discharged 2 days ago and he didn’t send me home with a steroid taper (my neurologist did, don’t worry) and he has yet to call me to discuss my POSITIVE lumbar puncture results that he didn’t want to order in the first place. Infuriated isn’t the word. Advocate for yourself. He won’t.

Dr Nadkarni literally saved my life. I'd been misdiagnosed and given the wrong treatment until a doctor on the team assigned to me called him and asked him to see me. He came to the hospital and knew immediately that I didn't have what I was being treated for.

This doctor never returned a call after contacting his rude office twice. It is now 6 weeks since our visit for our 85 ear old mother with dementia. We felt like him and his office staff could not care at all about her or follow up.

Dont even bother ...his office staff is so rude..they treat you like crap there. Find an office that cares about their patients. He might be wonderful...but the staff is terrible!

Absolutely horrible! I wouldn’t let him care for our pets. This man has horrible bedside manner acts like his patients are a bother to him, good luck getting him to answer any questions as he has half his body in the hallway while your talking to him. I lost all faith when this dr asked if this was the first seizure (mind you he’s been seeing me for several years for a seizure disorder) don’t even think he looks at the chart! And yes the staff particularly at the Crest Hill location is HORRIBLE

Waited forty eight hours for him to show up for a consult after being admitted into the hospital. Hospital wouldn’t discharge without a neurologist ok. After numerous attempts by hospital to get in touch with him he said for us to come to his office in Crest Hill which is over an hour away from the hospital and he would see us there. Obviously he could care less for his patients. Wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this man.

Absolutely the worst. He and his office staff have a clear miscommunication when it comes to informing their patients on medical information. He's not attentive. Nor does he make the effort to actually address the problem and find a solution. Very disappointed with my treatment plan and his oblivion and delay towards my request for him to fill out forms for me to return back to work. Because of him I lost 2 weeks worth of pay. Never going back to this particular neurologist that's for sure!

Was referred to this doctor after an ER trip with stroke symptoms but luckily it was not. However, I am having some serious ongoing and increasing symptoms . The doctor ordered two tests then didnt seem concerned with the couple of spots on my brain, was focused on RARE headaches I had and then when I became angry he decided to do another test, essentially one of the same only with contrast. He doesnt listen to me and my concerns of the issues I have had for two years now. Horrible Doctor.

AWFUL. Walked in yawning. Bed side manner, ZERO. Personality. ZERO Will not return for follow-up. Will find someone who cares enough to hear the service provided, which was beyond poor. Including the nurse.

Horrible experience..Doctor had no willingness to communicate during treatment, so I had no idea what he was doing until I asked his nurse. After his exam he walked out abruptly with no explanation of what was done or what would be included on any next steps...two weeks later he still has not released his findings to my primary doctor. STILL in pain...avoid this doctor.
