I'm having the same issue. It is very important that I get my medical records and dr. maclaren apparently left no system in place for this. Very unprofessional.

Dr retired without notifying patients
I cannot get my medical records because the doctor didn’t notify me before retiring. None of the listed numbers works.

This guy retired without letting this patient know that he was retiring. Now I have no access to medical records and need to find a new endocrinologist quickly to have insulin prescriptions refilled. Insulin that my life depends upon. How is it legal for an endocrinologist to retire without informing his patients?

Dr MacClaren is the type of Dr. you can not find much anymore. He is “old school” in the very best sense of the word. He is kind and caring and takes time to patiently listen to each and every one of your symptoms and concerns, and is thoughtful and thorough in his recommendations. He is a real gem.

Dr. MacLaren did what no other doctor or endocrinologist did, he believed me when I told him my symptoms, and with his expertise was able to diagnose me correctly to help me turn my health around. He is kind, brilliant, and generous. He is a credit to his profession. Anyone with endocrinological problems would be lucky to find him.

Dr Mac Claren is the best! When I came to him 13 years ago, I had Graves disease and didn't know it! My feet and hands would shake! I was a mess! My blood pressure was not stable. Dr MacClaren had so much patience with me as I am oppositional at times! He takes time with his patients and is prompt .I travel from Manchester, New Jersey and would not go anywhere else! He is very knowledgable and has saved my life! I am 74 . I love Dr MacLaren!

Without hesitation I fully recommend Dr Maclaren. I first saw him to have my medications adjusted. Originally synthroid and metformin were recommended but no doctor I had seen in 10 years took the time or energy to modify and correct my dosage. Dr Maclaren took blood tests amongst other tests and then corrected my dosage. He also made some very modest and informative comments on why certain foods are not recommended for me.

I never leave bad reviews. However, in patient interest, I am. I was told I have Hashimoto's disease "eat less & lose fat." My colleague went & got the same diagnosis and never got blood work back. Also, she was told "you're fat, eat less." 4 mos later, she went to another endo who said her thyroid levels were dangerously low & needed synthroid ASAP. There are many helpful solutions such as enzymes, probiotics, etc. to manage this disease. I wish I heard these options and felt supported.

I had been to 3 other doctors who could not diagnose my problem and my health was really suffering. At the first appointment, Dr. Maclaren gave me a probable diagnosis and about a week later, lab results showed that he was 100% correct. He is thorough, kind, very knowledgeable, and breaks things down so that you can understand them. Hands-down one of the best physicians I ever met and he really cares about his patients. This man definitely saved my life and I am very thankful for him.

Wonderful and extremely knowledgeable. I recommend him all the time even to those that have their own doctor because I think he's the best! I've been a patient since 2012. Dr. Maclaren doesn't give a quick fix, he gives you the right fix with or without script. He explains what and why. He's the best doctor and definitely one of my favorites with absolute adoration-
