Waste of time and money- super long waits and lots of extra “required” testing

Dr. Nanduri has been my eye doctor for 20 yrs. But while she is very competent, I won’t be going to see her again. Why? Because (1) each of the 5-6 pre- and post-surgery visits resulted in hours of time waiting for each separate test or exam; (2) neither she nor her large office staff appear to respect my time;(3) she seems to now value greater profits over patient care and costs; (4) she talked me into “optional” procedures that cost thousands and were not covered by insurance because they“would result in much sharper vision” (they didn’t); (5) she “forgot” to remove a small tag beneath one eyelid during the surgery, despite assuring me beforehand that she would do so; and (6) when her post-surgery eyeglass prescription was off, she blamed it on the maker of the glasses and urged me to buy from her in-house eyewear maker because her’s would be hand-made.

1. She appears to be a very skilled practitioner, 2. She has an easy way with patients, 3. Her office does not respect patients' time and visits take much longer than visits at other offices.. 4. Her office has very questionable ethics. For several years they charged $50 per year for scanning records. Not voluntary and I had to get my insurance involved. 5. She suggested a procedure. A second opinion said there "was absolutely nothing wrong" but she was just trying to make $$$. See yelp.

Was over charged for an eye exam, the associate left in the middle of my exam bc she had a plane to catch. I told them I have dry eyes so they billed $$$ for having dry eyes but never gave me a prescription like restasis to help. The crappy thing is when I asked what my "diagnosis" is they said "dry eyes". I had to go to another Dr for meds and a diagnosis of Blepharitis. Don't waste your time going here.

After seeing 5 other doctors I went to see her about pain in my eyes. A nutrition Doc I had seen earlier had rid of about 50 % of the pain but the five eye docs did nothing but prescribe drugs. She handled the rest with a procedure done in house which opened up my tear ducts. She also spotted that I had very faint cataracts which none of the others mentioned even though I told them my vision was degrading. She did both eye surgeries and my vision is perfect. She is a fantastic doctor.

Wait time in office always an issue. But, the quality of care I have received is unsurpassed. A couple of times have questioned the copy of the bill I received that was sent to Medicare. However, I had 2 difficult cataract surgeries and they were both right on. Giving 4 stars because of the wait time.

Dr.Nanduri is truly an awesome doctor. She listens to you, and shows that she cares. I always feel in good hands when she treats me. I went to see her with an eye burn, and she took excellent care of my eye. She is among the few doctors I would recommend!

I have been using this practice since 2001. It has gotten huge and the priority seems to have shifted from eye care to profits. I have recently severed my relationship with this practice.

Dr. Nandouri is the eye surgeon that my doctor and his associates go to. She is in the forefront of research for new technology. When I was ready for Lasik 10 years ago, she advised me to wait 2 years for a new procedure that was then being proven as it would be better for my situation. She is personable, extremely knowledgeable, and highly qualified. I trust her and no other.
