I worked in Brazil as a military firefighter for 30 years. My last 10 years were difficult due to a degenerative lumbar hernia and several unsuccessful treatments. In 2023, while studying in the USA, I researched and sought treatment and found Dr Montesano. Very attentive and friendly, I told him that I would like to receive a PRODISC L implant. He ordered tests, analyzed the condition and concluded that I was suitable to receive the prosthesis. I waited a while and at the end of July24, I underwent the procedure. I walked out of the hospital the next day, without pain, wearing just a brace and 15 days later I returned to Dr Montesano, an excellent professional who freed me from the brace. In September I return to swimming and October to running. Dr Montesano and his team are blessed and extremely caring people who I recommend with all my sincerity and gratitude. God bless them. I'm very, very happy

He asked me very detailed questions about my history with my back and neck issues. He recommended starting with injections which I just had as of this writing. He expressed that the prognosis with them helping my neck was very good but was less sure about the back and said if it didn't adequately work I would be a candidate for an artificial disc replacement which I read up on and it seemed like a great cutting edge treatment.

Dr. Montesanto used to have an office in Roseville California. On one of the surgeries he did on me he clipped my nerve and gave me a permanent drop foot. He is about five foot two and has a Napoleon complex that is unbelievable. He was nothing but rude and obnoxious. And he hurt so many patients in Sacramento that he closed the office and left. He did six surgeries on me and let me almost crippled.

Dr. Montesano was strongly recommended by my primary care physician and after extensive research I decided to move forward with him as my doctor. I flew out from Texas to have my surgery with him at his Beverly Hills center. I was confident I made a great choice when we had our pre-operative appointment. I flew home 4 days later and would call my surgery a great success.

Dr. Montesano operated on me on March 25, 1996. I spent 5-1/2 hours in surgery for a laminectomy, discectomy and two-level fusion: L/4-L/5 & L/5-S/1 with spinal stenosis. I was a mess! During surgery he found 7 bone spurs with one pressing into the main nerve of my left leg. 2 months later, I played my first round of golf. 2 years later, I played in a US Open Qualifier! He walks a fine line between confidence and arrogance, which as an athlete, appealed to me -- and his bedside manner rocks!!!

Dr. Montesano improved my quality of life. He is a master at the work he does. Before finding him, I tried months of extensive back treatments including NSAI medications, physical therapy, chiropractics and acupuncture. Unfortunately, I did not find any relief, I actually was getting worse. I am two years post surgery have significant improvement in my back and total relief of leg pain. I had an endoscopic lumbar discectomy with L tech on L4-L5 L5-S1. I am forever grateful to this man.

He is very down to earth. He listened to my complaints. Took the time to go over options and made me fully aware of what was going on with my back. Set a course of action with me and made sure I knew all the pros and cons I don't know where he found his receptionist but she should teach a course on how to handle the office the right way! She went above and beyond to keep me informed of every step of the insurance process
