Thorough and direct, to the point
Efficient during appointment- gets to the point and is direct with my medical issues and brings up concerns that could make me healthier woman in the long run. Although sometimes hard to hear her concerns (like my weight) I appreciate the truth. It isn’t sugar coated- this to me is definition of a good doctor. Drs like Brines want their patients to be healthier individuals. They don’t believe that sugar coating obvious problems is the way to practice good medicine - this is hard to find these days.

I have been going to Dr. Brines for over 30 years. She has always been kind and informative. Answers my questions and puts me at ease. I feel very comfortable with her and I will miss her when she retires. I also read all the reviews and I can’t relate to any of the negative ones. Lastly when I was there this past Thursday, the woman I dealt with when I first arrived was very helpful. 5*****

At a time when I needed medical help and support she offered caustic and hurtful commentary. On my first and only visit she was immediately confrontational. She was critical and she relentlessly berated me. I have never felt more condescended to and disrespected. It was shocking and horrible. I left before the exam in disbelief that this woman was a trained medical professional. Ladies please, please find someone else. Skip this woman-she needs to retire and not at all sure how she maintains her position at the practice. STAY AWAY! Read Less Submitted Aug 16, 2022

Dr Brine’s office has been totally rude, uncaring, unsympathetic and unhelpful to a situation that needs immediate attention. Even going as far as to cancel a biopsy that was needed because of a problem with a mammogram. Won’t even return a call! This could be life or death! I hope that any of you “patients “ do not need anything of this magnitude from her because she will cut you out and leave you with no where to go in your time of need. What’s the doctor oath Do No Harm. It all comes down to do you have the right insurance, not being kind, helpful or being able to sleep at night because you did the right thing.

I've been going to Dr Brines for 39 years. I wouldn't go to anyone else. For my pregnancies I traveled an hour for appointments because I didn't want to go to any other doctor. I've seen other Doctors in the past and was uncomfortable.

I absolutely love Dr.Brines !!! I have been going to her for years. I read some of the reviews and I cannot relate to any of them. She encouraged me to get a mammogram which has been years since my last one. So I will get a mammogram. Thanks to Dr. Brines

I find Dr. Brines to be very direct. This is the type of doctor I need. Had it not been for a job relocation, I would still be under her care. She caught something that could have been very problematic for me and that I will always be grateful to her for.

I cannot tell you how uncomfortable this supposed "professional" made me feel. This was the first time that I saw her, and she entered the room after reviewing my chart extremely confrontationally. She asked me if I cared about myself and I replied that I did. She then asked me if I drive with my seatbelt on. I explained that I do. She then asked if I drive with my eyes closed. Her demeanor was horrible! She told me that I was an obese smoker and needed to do something about it.

She just didn't listen. Felt like the only thing anybody in the office cared about was my insurance and generated more business for Yale ancilliaries.

DON'T GO there!DON'T P. Briens-she don't deserve to be a doc. she don't have a clue, sends me twice for the same test, didn't pay any attention to my pregnancy, it's my 1st I'm 37 and IUI patient, I was lucky if the app. was longer than 5 min. She always rushed me without answering to my questions, I'm totally 100% unsatisfied. Practice the same, to transfer my file to my new doc. office I was told I should wait 30 days that's lot when pregnant so because of them i missed my 3rd month screening.

Received misdiagnosis of uterine complication during pregnancy. MFM staff confirmed that the way the diagnosis was made was not a suitable method of diagnosing. Does not see you consistently during pregnancy, and the opinions and beliefs of midwives are not consistent leading to continuously different treatment plans. Wrong bloodwork was ordered on several occasions. Brines called to tell me I was pregnant based on someone else's lab results a few months after missed miscarriage. Could go on.
