I had surgery on July 19th 2023 I was practically in a wheelchair and barely walking with a walker before surgery I still have to have left sided hip replacement surgery in the very near future but now I can walk good with a walker and can walk with a cane I’ve come a long way in a short period of time and highly recommend Dr Murray if your considering total hip replacement surgery he’s one of the best and no one can tell me otherwise thank you Dr Murray for helping me get my life back and walking again !!

Successful Surgery
Had continued pain & grinding feeling in my upper femur area after an ORIF surgical procedure (rod & screw) to repair the injury. The ORIF surgery was performed elsewhere. I chose Dr. Murray after reviewing various surgeons' expertise & credentials. He repeated xrays taken elsewhere & immediately told me the screw was too long & protruding. Dr. Murray performed the corrective surgery to replace the screw using the appropriate hardware. VOILA!!!, six weeks later, I have no pain & grinding feeling in that area. I highly recommend Dr. Murray for the excellent surgical results. He & his staff was very pleasant to interact with.

Referred as a result of express care visit with knee pain and swelling. Doctor was in the room less than 5 minutes, did not actually examine my knee. Had me straighten it only when sitting in chair. Because xray showed mild arthritis, wanted to give me a steroid injection. Had he actually examined my knee, I may have agreed; however, because he did not, I was unwilling to have an injection as he seemed more concerned with leaving the room than actually conducting an exam. Better examination by express care practitioner.

Dr murry did my total knee in about 2015 and the procedure to "clean out" the infection that developed months after. He also did the eventual second replacement aftera period of daily antibiotics. Ill never be sure where the infection came from. My private theory is that it deveoped from a series of joint taps to diagnose the cause of the incomplete healing. I don't see Dr. Murry any more but I would like tell him that I think of him every day as I deal with my poorly recovered knee proceedures

Dr. Murray suggested that I take a Steroid shot for the continuous pain that I am experiencing in my knee. He said everything looks good but his demeanor in my opinion seems like that what he have to say as a doctor. He gave me exercises to do at home and suggest I go back to physical therapy. The shot did not work. He is a doctor of few words, he just want to tell you that everything looks good and hope you don't have any complaints. I do not understand why in the world he can't show the patients their Xrays so that he can explain the problem to them so their can see and not hear doctor's terminology.

My knees have been hurting for years and my wife had one of her knees replaced by Dr.Murray with excellent results. After talking with Dr. Murray I decided to try a shot in my knees and then decide in 3 months whether to proceed with knee replacement. Dr. Murray took time to explain what I could expect. I highly recommend Dr. Murray and I will be seeing him again in three months.

This is my second hip replacement done by Dr. Murray. He did my right hip about 4 years ago and I just had the left one done on Thursday, June 13, 2019. He is professional, personable, friendly, and very thorough in his explanation pre-surgery and post-surgery. I'm recuperating nicely and glad I had Dr. Murray as my surgeon. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering knee or hip replacement.

Dr Murray, Exceptional performance, quality and practice. Met him via referred by another orthopedist. Love him from the start, his assistant, Amber is just as efficient. Only words as EXCELLENT, PROFICIENT, PROFESSIONAL can describe the entire staff, from the front office to the surgical staff. Had my first replacement in 2015, it never crossed my mind to go elsewhere when the other hip started going out. Thank you Dr Murray and staff

Dr. Murray is by far, the best orthopedic surgeon for knee replacement. He may not be the most talkative doctor, but he knows what he is doing. I’ve had two very successful knee replacements with him. I amazed my physical therapist with how much I could accomplish in such a short amount of time and I thank Dr. Murray for this. I asked all the nurses and anesthesiologists at the hospital what they thought of him and each and everyone of them said he is simply the best at what he does.

I'm trying to find out what causes the hip pain that I've been experiencing for six months. Dr. Murray never told me a diagnosis, although it was written on my referral sheet to another doctor. I felt he rushed through the appointment. He didn't check with me for understanding. I left feeling more confused than when I entered. I never felt that he actually cared about me or the pain I am feeling. Disappointing experience.

I was quite impressed with Dr. Murray and the Roper St. Francis staff since I’m from out of town and have not previouly been a Dr. Murray/Roper St Francis patient. Dr. Murray was able to alleviate the swelling and pain I was experiencing from possibly a recent knee replacement in one visit. Very professional and thorough....and a follow up the next day.
