Patient care? WHERE?
I saw Dr. Caldron upon referral from my primary care provider. I waited over a month for the appointment, during which I was told my symptoms did not exist, was dismissed and embarrassed. He told me i was “very hypermobile” (without explaining what that even meant), then after a 5 minute visual exam said I had fibromyalgia and should take Acetaminophen for my pain and stop caffeine. I left the office sobbing.

Unfortunately my rheumatologist at AZ Arthritis and Rheumatology had to retire for health reasons and this person was assigned to me to fill her place. The first words out of his mouth was a condescending sermon on "accepting some pain" with my condition. I have had it for decades and am well aware of the different levels of pain. I have stayed with the same doctor and clinic for almost ten years without a change. Everyone else at the clinic have had a superb bedside manner, have been caring and respectful. He also made a decision for me, which should have been mine to make about "complications in life" of using medications like Enbrel, which I have had in my life before.

I was highly disappointed as I waited 3 or more weeks to get in to see “a”rheumatologist when my primary care dr referred me to one for my chronic joint pain and swollen joints, I was given a visual exam by dr cauldron after a verbal consultation with the PA, with her laptop & she briefed Dr Cauldren when he came in, I was told I had arthritis caused from wear & tear, & Try not to use so many repetitive motion movements, I am 58 yrs old and need to work several more yrs , and after leaving his office the same way I came in minus my co -pay I wondered what just happened? First of all I already knew I had arthritis second of all I already make little possible movements as I can as I am in pain I was hoping to have blood work and some Med to slow progression ? When I called back the next day and asked for the P.A. to please call me I was told drs or P.A. don’t return calls I need to make A appt again if I wanted to talk to them and that she was a Med assist, preceeded to hang up on me

I saw Dr. Caldron when I moved out to AZ from the Wash DC area. My doctor in VA gave me a diagnosis after 2 years of ruling everything out. She had me follow up with a clinic at Georgetown. After 5 minutes with Dr. Caldron he said, you don't have what she said you have. Stop all medication. I stopped. I also did not go back to him. Bedside manner was horrible. Move forward 3 years. I moved to Fl. Not only do I have the disease. It has done damage to my lungs and heart now.

He has been following me with excellent care , communication and discusses any care changes with me. We are a team and he is very positive in my support. I really care for his Assistant, Dana, and like the way they work as a team for my good. Thank you Dr Caldron for being the best Rheumatologist for me!

I have been trying to schedule an appointment for a week. I called the office, and after waiting, a message said due to high call volume I would be transferred to an answering service. The service said the office would call within 24 hours. Three days later, I tried once again to call the office, same story and passed onto the answering service. A week later, still no return call. With such abysmal service, I have no desire to see this doctor.

I had been a patient of Dr. Caldron's for 16 years. BCBS denied my infusions and it has been horrible ever since. Neither Dr. Caldron or his staff were the least bit concerned that my RA was causing a lot of pain without any new treatment plan. I had to force appointments and medication alternatives. Since I was no longer receiving the expensive infusions from his office they no longer seemed to care about my well being. He fired me because I was too "to demanding".

Dr. Caldron would not approve xrays to determine why I had lost 2 in height within the last 3 years. He says it is not important for me to know because it won't change his recommended treatment plan. His treatment plan is a biologic with potentially extremely dangerous side effects. It's not an easy decision and I feel that xrays would help me make that decision. Dr. Caldron would not cooperate. I haven't had any xrays in over 3 years. Apparently I just have 'curiosity and no reason for xrays'.
