Subject: Fred Bypass Feb 2019 friend and I were walking to the Daytona speedway from parking a mile away. I felt tightness in my chest and a little trouble breathing. So upon my return to Virginia I went to my doctor to see about it. A chest Xray was ordered. Dr D'Angelo and my Sentara NP interpreted as follows "Chest xray report annotates that there is emphysematous changes. Recommend evaluation by Pulmonology. Referral for pulm has been placed." Went to pulm,said to be within limits on all breathing tests. follow up 2 months. Retests all still normal.So away I went thinking nothing serious. Covid mess keeps me from scheduled appointments. finally I decided if not lungs check the heart. Made appointment with cardio, after routine tests (Resting) I said put me on the treadmill and I'll crap out in 5 minutes. He did, I did and we scheduled an angiogram forJune 25. They found severe (99%)life threatening! blockages. And I stayed in hospital and had Double bypass June 26.
