My husband has been scheduled for an appt for a physical this is the 3rd year and has been cancelled at last min and rescheduled with a nurse practitioner. his year he was changed to the nurse practioner then that appt has been cancelled twice. ONCE a year should not be like this. He called to ask for Dr Pena to do his physical and is now told it will be April 2024. Needless to say he needs a new Dr.

Dr. Pena really cares about the people in his practice. He always responds to questions immediately through MyChart. I may leave the KU system, but not Dr. Pena. He is kind and understanding.

I've had long wait times every time I've visited only to get mere minutes with the doctor. Today was the last straw. I waited over an hour to see the dr. I ended up leaving. 20 mins after I left I got a call asking where I was. They tried to explain to me that the doctor was with another patient. FOR AN ENTIRE HOUR? I've never heard of or every experienced a doctor taking a full hour with anyone. So not only do they not care, they're liars too. I've had an ongoing shoulder issue that will never get addressed because finding another office that's taking new patients is impossible. Thanks for wasting my time DR PENA

Dr Pena is professional and knowledgeable. He has a nice disposition and is easy to talk to. He listens and answers all questions. I highly recommend Dr Pena.

Dr. Pena has been my primary physician for two years. He is professional and easy to communicate with through MyChart. Arrive a few minutes early and try to schedule your appointment in the morning to avoid long wait times.

Bad experience with their late arrival policy. 10 minutes tolerance. I arrived 15 minutes late and he would not see me. Was asked to reschedule. Obviously, I had waited more than 15 minutes to be seen after my scheduled time in the past. Impolite and inflexible. Left the practice and would not recommend. Rude treatment by staff who doesn't value our time, only the doctor's.
