Dr. Peter Heilbroner, MD

I must warn you that if you are considering an appointment with Dr. Peter L. Heilbroner, you should be aware that his demeanor can be quite unpleasant. I came prepared with a list of questions, but he didn’t even take the time to look at them. Even when I read my questions aloud, he refused to engage. His tone was rude, and the way he treated us left us feeling terrible. I regret exposing my child to this experience. My child felt so upset that he ended up hiding in a corner of the reception area after the appointment. I felt even worse because I had waited months for this visit. It seemed as though Dr. Heilbroner was personally annoyed by our presence; after just 15 minutes, he started glancing at his watch. I strongly recommend choosing another professional. If your health insurance compels you to see him, please be prepared for a disappointing experience.

Dr. Heilbroner works well with my son, asks all the right questions, and treats him with respect. He takes the time to listen, provides thoughtful guidance, and ensures that we feel confident and informed throughout the entire process.

I took my daughter to see Dr. Heilbroner due to concerns for ADHD. He never asked me or her teachers to fill out evaluations prior, which I had done in the past for my older son with ADHD and a different doctor. He also never took the time to speak to me not in front of my seven year old daughter, so I didn’t feel I could fully answer all his questions honestly. He took very little time with us and seemed to have very little understanding of how ADHD typically presents in girls. We will not be returning.

The thing that stands out most to me is that Dr. Heilbroner asked the exact right questions and shows empathy. Very helpful in getting his patients better.

Very good person. Knows how to diagnos the problem of my autistic son. And put him on right medication. When my son got no insurance in one point in time he gives us a discount for his service bill.

Doctor Heilbroner was super informative, and provided great resources. As well as the fact that I felt comfortable expressing issues that are typically very difficult for me to talk about. He provides a nonjudgmental environment for patients. Would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for answers.

Very little wait time, doctor is on point, professional and experienced

Wanted my child evaluated for autism, not a monologue about how most people diagnosed ASD don’t really have it. Also didn’t appreciate the assumption of misdiagnosis for my daughter who was fully (15 hrs +) evaluated by child mind institute and was not even there. If you truly want your child evaluated, I would recommend going somewhere more thorough than a 12 minute one sided conversation. I was not going to post something negative but this has been bothering me for weeks. He also raised his voice at my son for walking around the room and scared him. He’s a well behaved kid with too much energy that did not deem that level of scolding. I would advise anyone to skip the several months wait that could potentially end in a bad experience and go somewhere with an actual evaluation process.

Our son has been a patient for the past several years of Dr. Heilbronner and I can say I wouldn’t consider another Provider. He is calm, patient and offers real and workable solutions to aid in the treatment process. Our trust in the judgment is total. We are grateful to have found him.

My son has been seeing Dr. Heilbroner for 4 years now. He is professional, kind, and knowledgeable. He gets right to the point and doesn't waste time. He has helped my sons migraines 10 fold. I appreciate him and all his efforts. 10/10

Dr. Heilbroner was highly recommended to us by a family friend and we are very happy with the quality of care that he has provided to our toddler. He listens and takes note of everything that we tell him during our appointments, which is evident through his detailed visit notes that are always immediately uploaded to the patient portal. Finding the right treatment for our toddler has truly felt like a team effort.

Dr Heilbroner was helpful, informative, very easy to speak with and understand. He answered all of our questions, made recommendations for resources & suggested what our next steps should be. He was very conscious of how he spoke with our daughter, and shared what was going on with her without scaring her or making her feel bad about herself. We had a really good visit, great Pediatrics Neurologist.

We been a patient few years now. Dr is patient and listens to our concerns. We agree on next steps and best plan go forward.
