Very Pleasant
Dr Udrea was great as a Dr with my husband in 2008. He came to Southview to see him while a patient there. He took away drugs and added drugs so they would cohease with other mods he was taking. We found out he had Cancer and hand seizures. Dr Udrea was great with answering questions and letting us respond. He answered more questions and gave us a plan that worked with my Husband before he passed away.

I came in for a seizure. He had me go do a 24hr halter monitor test and a 90 min EEG as well as a 24hr EEG. after I had done all of these test I returned for my final appointment. He released me to go back to work. He has no people skills and did not talk to me through both of my appointments. He talks into a microphone which his computer then puts into words on his screen. He did not personally explain the results of the EEG or even talk to me about what a seizure is, warning signs, or any sort of actions I should be taking. I left that day still not fully understanding what my body went through and I still don’t feel normal. I would not recommend him.

When My step son was rushed to Sycamore hospital with a seizure, It was so bad that we were not allowed to see him for over an hour. He was there for 3 or 4 days & Dr Udrea was his Dr. He ran all kinds of tests & decided he needed another test that had to be done at University of Cincinnati, so was taken by ambulance. There this test was done & it was very critical & saved his life. We made sure we got Dr Udrea as his Neurologist & we feel he is in excellent hands!!

I am very pleased with the care I have received from Dr. Udrea. When the radiologist said that my MRI was normal, he did not believe it. He went down and personally read the MRI and showed the radiologist that it was indeed abnormal. I am thankful that he didn't just take the reading of the radiologist. I would still not know what is wrong. He had me follow up in 2 weeks after hospital discharge with him personally. I appreciate the fact that he cared enough to see me personally.

Overall, spent about 10-15 minutes with me and prescribed two new medications w/ no explanation. Didn't answer questions. Told me to stop taking trusted medication from my referring neurologist of 4+ years. Did not do the lab work or screening that I'd actually been referred for! Did not take time to explain anything. Rudely interrupted multiple times. Spent more time on his recording device to take notes than speaking to me. Did not answer simple questions about medications or side-effects.

I was very disappointed with this doctor. I waited a MONTH after having my lumbar puncture before he called me for an appt to tell me he knows NOTHING about my problem (due to supposed losing or throwing away of my CSF by the lab). And to tell me I may have to have ANOTHER lumbar puncture! My first appointment with him he said it sounds like I could have MS because of all my symptoms as well as my mom having MS. When I saw him yesterday he said it didn't sound like I had MS! I'm done with him.

I would not recommend this doctor nor his practice. He has very poor people skills and spent more time dictating into the computer than talking with me. At the end of the visit he said "you're dismissed" as though he no longer wanted to deal with me. I never received a diagnosis for my problem even after several expensive tests and several requests through their patient portal. I have since "dismissed" him for someone who really cares about the patient.

The doctor had a complicated case with me. (Moyamoya disease amongst many other problems, and migraines). Honestly, I was afraid when I saw he was a bit older. Would he be just another Dr who didn't understand me? Dr. Udrea spent a long time reading my files, and putting information into my existing files. He's well educated. Nice, and asks if you have questions. He cares.

EMG was not thorough. Diagnosis was incomplete and incorrect. Provided an unwarranted doom and gloom outlook with no encouragement, and did not identify any method of possible treatment. New neurologist was completely different.
