Dr. Fischer was the absolute biggest blessing throughout my breast cancer journey. He was kind, compassionate and thorough. I knew I had found the right doctor. I would highly recommend him and I’m so glad a friend recommended him to me ! It was great to be treated like a person not a number !

Dr Fischer is the most caring doctor that I have ever had the privilege of seeing. He listens to your concerns and does his best to explain everything he treatment plans for you. He is the best!

Dr. Fischer shows concern and guides the patient with making appropriate choices for the type of surgery needed. He is a wonderful person and surgeon.

I had a 5 star experience with Dr. Fischer and his wonderful staff. This was my first referral to a surgeon for a consultation and he made me feel calm and comfortable during a very scary situation. I am scheduled for a heart procedure in the coming weeks and Dr. Fischer called my cardiologist during my office visit to coordinate my medication and care prior to and following my biopsy. My biopsy results were negative so no further treatment is required. Dr. Fischer was as excited to share the good news with me as I was to receive it. Dr. Fischer is a blessing to his patients and he and his staff are very kind and compassionate. If I need a surgeon in the future I would look no further. Dr. Fischer is an excellent surgeon and cares deeply for his patients. He is the first physician I’ve ever had that asked to pray with me before surgery, for which I was so grateful! His staff is caring, attentive and compassionate. I can’t say enough good things about this office!!

Dr. Phillip Fisher is a remarkable individual and a peerless surgeon. He’s thorough, caring, professional, and skillful. I’m glad to have found him and Birmingham is blessed to have him.

Waited over an hour and a half to be seen the first time. Only to essentially be told his nurse has to schedule my biopsy with the radiology department. (His nurse was super helpful) Go in for my biopsy with radiology. An appt is required for follow up with Dr Fischer to get results. Go in for results and despite there being only one other patient there, I wait over 30 minutes for Dr Fischer to come in and tell me I’m fine. Fine. Great news- we leave content. Today I got the bill- I was charged for a regular visit despite this being the only way Dr Fischer would release the results of my biopsy. My copay is $50- it’s not the amount of money it’s the absolute ridiculousness that he requires patients to come in for results but then doesn’t code it as a follow up appt. Every woman I know who has been told the masses in her breast are benign were given quick phone calls. Dr Fischer made me wait in office and for results AND is making me pay for it.

Dr. Fisher shows he truly cares about his patients and one of the best experiences with a new Dr. under scary circumstances.

Dr. Fischer was very attentive to all of my concerns. Explained everything thoroughly and answered all of my questions. Also was very conscientious about prevention of infection. Taught all the step to inform what was to be done and what to expect as normal and anything which would be abnormal. Certainly appreciate his concern and dedication and would recommend him to any and all needed his expertise, and will gladly use him if needed again.

Dr. Fischer and is staff are AMAZING. I needed urgent gall bladder surgery, and he worked me in on that same day. After surgery, I didn’t even need prescription pain meds. He is truly a skilled and gifted surgeon. His office and medical staff are also great. I highly recommend him to anyone needing surgery.

Great experience. Dr. Fischer was very professional and calming when I saw him for my mastitis. Got me right in to see him when the problem arose and was fantastic the entire time until I recovered.

Amazing doctor. Listened to everything I said. Made me feel 100 percent comfortable. I have had some past experiences that I didn't think I could have surgery but this doc and the surgery team were excellent and made it better than I expected.

I knew I was in good hands with Dr Fisher. I now consider myself very lucky for not getting an infection from other surgeries I've had in the past performed by other surgeons who don't take infections seriously. Dr Fisher explained how easy it is for infections to develop and the steps he takes to prevent it. I just wish there was a way to have repaired the hernia without any pain or soreness. It's really not bad as long as I don't breathe, talk, or move. Just kidding.

I needed a surgeon to work with the cosmetic surgeon for a mastectomy. I certainly made the right choice! Dr. F's worked me in the same day. He was calm and open to questions. He put me and the my priorities first. He outlined all options and the pros and cons of each. Others at the hospital speak very highly of him as well. Before surgery, he noticed a discrepancy between pathology reports. He took the time to look into it and make sure he had the right answers first. I couldn't be happier.

Dr Fischer is a fantastic surgeon and a wonderful, compassionate man. He takes plenty of time, answers all your questions, and is very patient and comforting. He has performed three surgeries for me and I would recommend him to anyone needing surgery, especially for breast cancer. His skill and caring manner helped me get through a really tough time. Dr Fischer is the only surgeon I would ever want for myself and my family.
